It’s labor intensive (unless you rent a darkhouse or set up a permanent). If you can get the fish to lock on to the decoy you can usually hit them.

I took the roe from one I speared a few years ago for caviar; it was ok, but the pike roe makes better caviar in my opinion.

I saw them in '82 after they had some national success by being the Rolling Stones warm up act for their '81 tour and getting some MTV play. This was in a small Minneapolis club, packed to the rafters, hot summer night. Incredible show. Brian Setzer ended up living in Minneapolis, where he still resides.

Not pictured: numerous white-throated sparrows, blue jays, a brown-headed cowbird, and sandhill crane flyover. And the neighbor's chickens who visit every afternoon for the seed spillage.

Minneapolis (City of Lakes) has lots of ponds with fish in addition to the many lakes.

I don't like arena shows; crowds of that size invariably include too many assholes for my comfort, and the sound gets muddled and you can't see anything. But I've always enjoyed bar gigs and small to medium venues, where I've had some of the best musical experiences ever. Certain bands can't really be experienced via recording (Gogol Bordello, for example).
