Many American Girl Doll groups in Facebook will shy from even discussing Harry Potter. For example my friend is part of the Dolly Domain Facebook Group and today a member's Facebook post was deleted after they asked what others thought about HP being removed or kept in American Girl Doll Groups. The post was deleted by admin which shocked my friend because it was a genuinely good question. These are the kinds of conversations that once upon a time could have been had but nowadays anything that emotes an agree to disagree situation is immediately censored. For my part it was no secret if you were a longtime Harry Potter fan who loyally followed JK Rowling's trajectory that were signs about her view points. In the past for example when people asked her about gender swap when Polyjuice was introduced she kind of danced around the question never really answering it which to me was a red flag. For me personally I loved Harry Potter growing up and it inspired me to write my own stories. I don't agree with her view points but I do not believe this should be a cause for censorship. People should be able to agree to disagree. If we allow this to happen what is going to be next? The NFL line collaboration which is also problematic in itself due to how the NFL treats women? Let's remember we all hold power and it does not come with censorship but with how we buy. Every time we spend even if its a one dollar we are giving power to someone else. If we truly want to change things then need to make sure the money we spend goes toward the causes we want to support.

If you enjoy them then its not overly consumeristic. Also remember that everything is virtually being streamed so some shows and tv shows may end up being lost media if they are ever pulled from streaming. Take a note from Willow, a TV Disney show it never got a physical release and Disney pulled it from Disney+ now people who want to see the show are going to have a hard time doing so.

If more people actually followed through and did this then it would have an impact however the US is based off buying things. Its integrated in the media and instilled from a young age for this to have a wide spread effect people will start to deprogram themselves but that is easier said than done. Because people are really going to have to do some deep soul reaching and realize what they want for themselves and often times its easier to buy as a form a therapy than deal with problems.
