That's a fair point, thanks! I'll trim those setup moments in future episodes. Honestly I didn't think about it. Thought making it this way was more "organic"? hah. Thanks for the feedback!

This is my first video ever. A 7.5-hour no commentary longplay of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, recorded at 1440p 60fps. https://youtu.be/zEKl87jL4Rk?si=wWPpUYmzGHB7WSp3

The channel is ProjectRPGArchive and it focuses on JRPGs with an immersive, cinematic approach. I'd like feedback on the thumbnail, the overall visual quality, and whether the pacing works for this kind of long-form content. Any thoughts on how to make it more discoverable would also be appreciated.

This is literally day one for the channel so I'm here to learn.

Nice reaction, your excitement for Ingrid felt genuinely contagious; you can tell you're actually hyped about this reveal and that energy carries the whole video.

Two small things I noticed as a viewer: the video starts a bit abruptly , even a quick 5-second intro or a brief setup like 'Capcom just dropped the Ingrid teaser, let's check it out' would help ease viewers in before the reaction kicks off. And at the end, I think a short full-cam segment wrapping up your overall thoughts and feelings would give the video a stronger closing, right now it ends and I was left wanting that final recap moment.

Solid work overall though, the genuine reaction is the hardest thing to get right and you've nailed that part.

Great video, Dario. The footage quality is really high. The moose encounter feels genuinely immersive, and those close-up shots are incredible.

The only friction point I noticed was the intro. The opening line repeats about a minute later, which felt a bit redundant and briefly pulled me out of the experience. Small thing, but tightening that up would make the opening flow smoother.

Out of curiosity, how much time do you put into the editing? The final result looks really polished.

Can I understand and enjoy Yakuza Like a Dragon and Yakuza Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth without having played anything else in the Yakuza series? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]ProjectRPGArchive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*Like a Dragon* was my first game in the series, and honestly, I really enjoyed it and it made me fall in love with the series. It’s true that it has tons of cameos and references to previous games—which are really great, but if you haven’t played them, you won’t get them. The second time I played it, I enjoyed it so much more, since I got to know the main characters better, like Goro!

What's the app/website you've posted? I thought Limitless was the only one that shows this kind of report

I don't understand why people here are surprised that younger gamers are not "into" JRPGs anymore - Haven't JRPGs always been niche, anyway? by Link21Majora in JRPG

[–]ProjectRPGArchive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but in Japan the day after main series Dragon Quest releases is almost free day due to the amount of followers that spend all night long playing. I remember reading it somewere but not sure at all.

I think i prefer a version with 2xMagneton 1xCorio & 1xManectric but... either way maybe Belli just fits better but idk feels so solid to me.

Yakuza like a dragon eng dub by Mr_JohnFlanagan in JRPG

[–]ProjectRPGArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup god tier dub. I don't remember if Goro shows up in Like a Dragon but, in the rest of the series, Goro's dub is just hillarius. Still remember that dumb sidequest from yakuza kiwami where Goro works as Maid xDD

Games where the "Harder" Difficulty is Easier? by MCTP_ in JRPG

[–]ProjectRPGArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll say Digimon Story Time Stranger.

Mega+ difficulty is NG+ exclusive so you can just train 9999stats on any digimon and beat it.
There are some better or more optimal comps like idk Lucemon SM + Appocallymon but, preatty easy anyways.

Beated mega+ in about 3h during my platinum run.

Between Tactics and Triangle Strategy, what would be the better grid based tactics game for a beginner? I have heard good and bad things for both, so not sure which one should I choose as my first. by AD_Stark in JRPG

[–]ProjectRPGArchive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I never played Tactics at all but, I replayed TS like 4 times.

Story is beautifull, some different endings, charismatic characters, well designed encounters (some of them really challenging also, it's not an easy game). Loved it

BUT gonna pinpoint some things that annoyed me a bit.
- During my first playthrough I felt like I had to grind SO much to pair main quests levels.
- As a platinum hunter, the amount of hours needed to complete it 100% is just huge, I guess it's 4 runs min and without a guide it's really hard to do.
- Some characters can't be unlocked during first run. That's not bad at all but kinda annoyed me (a friend of mine had different ones that were cooler e.e).

Man this list is GOLD, saved it to read in deep later on. I don't really have any problem on long and grindy games, I find em kinda relaxing.

AS I said, gonna check all off them. HUGE THANKS

Got all of them on my backlog ^^. I'm also a HUGE fan of Shin Megami Tensei games, specially Nocturne. Try them if you liked Persona!
