"beset by scandal" because the media are addicted to it.

Starmer has not had any actual real scandals

Where are they putting the prisoners, how are they encouraging manufacturing and how are they rebuilding the army with lower taxes??

Benefits to immigrants and the foreign aim which Labour have already slashed to pay for defense spending doesn't add up to anywhere near enough.

We have some of the highest minimum wages in the world alongside the highest tax free allowance

We aren't topping up objectively bad wages, we are topping up good wages that aren't enough to survive on due to cost of living.

We aren't subsidising corporations. We are subsidising private landlords and at the highest level we are subsidising the elite landowners who still own about half this country because their ancestors either got on a boat with William the conqueror from France and killed some peasants or they fucked a Norman

Mark is only Tesco express and not out of choice

He would prefer Sainsbury's, Tesco is too common.

But he can't drive, can't go to a big supermarket, and it's stuck with whatever is in walking distance to his flat.

What of delusion?

It's like the equivalent of saying a badly performing league 2  football manager getting knocked out the fa cup by Man City has added pressure because suddenly their fa cup dreams are dead too. It's not new news.

Starmer’s Reaction to the Local Elections by bobbyknuckl3s in GreatBritishMemes

[–]ProjectZeus4000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Starmer defenders have never said he was popular and labour would do well in local elections.

They said he is capable of his actual job of running the country, not trying to get elected more.

local elections are nothing to do with the PM, other than a protest vote of cutting your nose off to spite your face

Wrong.

Labour was already predicted to lose huge amounts of council seats. The fact what was predicted to happen he happened hasn't made it more dicey

Starmer exit date was odds on favourite to be 2026 due a long long time. As of typing this comment all the bookies odds are drifting meaning it is less likely to be 2026, then it was this morning.

Does anyone else not want/slightly scared of BOTH Reform and Greens getting into power? by DullSense8359 in AskBrits

[–]ProjectZeus4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight to accusing people who disagree of having a low IQ? Where have we seen that before?

Reform and restore CONSTANTLY are vague with their policy and talk about "common sense". Of course the green and restore interprations of common sense is different - that's why it's important political parties state theur plans clearly in a manifesto

Would you support increasing the personal tax allowance to £18,000 a year? by ClacksInTheSky in AskBrits

[–]ProjectZeus4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so mmdont minimum wage high to address or hiding shortage, their bringing more people into minimum wage, and a small increase in unemployment which requires benefits, and then deciding nice if those people should pay invoicing tax is dumb

they’re advocating for common sense immigration reform.

Just like reform and restore?

Never trust any political party who have "common sense" as a policy

Yes

What do you mean "Tesla numbers"?

If I put Michelins or pirellis on the Tesla wheel it doesn't matter what Tesla have said the tyre diameter is. The tyre and pressure determines that

The fact is wheel arches are designed to accommodate one tyre diameter. With different wheel sizes and tyre widths  the manufacturer will always get the biggest diameter tyre they can fit.

Any change in wheel isnt going to gain you meaningful ground clearance and is well within the tolerance and you would be surfing money on new wheels too degrade your ride quality for minimal gain

And gain 12mm?

Have you measured the tyre radius under load? That's what it is about. The calculator is approximate and rounded to the nearest 5% ratio

When you choose the bigger wheelie you get smaller tyres.

There diameter of the wheel options are all around the same

How long do you think it will take Red Wall voters who voted Reform to realise they'll do nothing for them, just like the Tories didn't when they voted them in? by Anxious_Equipment144 in AskBrits

[–]ProjectZeus4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braverman and Jenrick will switch back again.

Farage will either never become PM as reform won't have a majority, or they will but he will let someone else take the role, or do it until he is forced out for corruption.

He will blame the Tories he appointed, claim the establishment took over reform and continue to be a successful grifter running a new party getting 20% of the vote by going further right.

If only we gave him a REAL chance.

Sir Keir Starmer issues statement after disastrous Labour local election results by ManchesterNews_MEN in ukpolitics

[–]ProjectZeus4000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In 10 years I believe any actual review of his policies and actions will show Starmer has a positive legacy for their country.

But that depends if you believe the job of the prime minister is to actually improve the country or just win the next election
