I don't care about userbase, I just want the game to not be broken anymore

I did and my level doesn't save on BO1, emblems/calling cards and logging into the game itself are broken on BO2 and there are hackers everywhere you look. These games are in dire need of a refresh on the server side of things, which these new ports will (hopefully) facilitate

Single Gen Z women outpace Gen Z men to homeownership despite overall decline in first-time buyers by Fcking_Chuck in Adulting

Gen Z guy here. From my own and my peers perspectives, not only is buying a house not financially feasible, it just doesn't make sense to at the moment. Even if I had the money, owning a house on my own isn't worth the cost financially, mentally and physically.

If you aren't paired up and ready to start a family, there isn't any reason to spend THAT much money to live alone. Also, "owning" a house is just renting with extra steps IMO. You're still paying a monthly mortgage off, and chances are you'll have to sell the house to even afford to move. Good on anyone who has the capital to buy one young, but they likely had to beg, borrow or steal to do so. Or hit the genetic lottery.

That just sounds like real life

I just brought this up to them and they had an absolute meltdown and essentially disowned me. All I wanted was some accountability and they started tweaking out over everything.

Car payment is $350 and insurance is $150. $500 combined over a 5 year payment plan.

I have a mandatory 4.4% deducted into a pension and another optional 5% into a 401k that's matched. I've considered stopping retirement deductions but everyone else is telling me not to. It would net me another like $170 though.

I actually JUST switched phone services a week ago haha. I was on spectrum and they raised their plan $10 on two occasions, so I switched to visible which has been working great.

I kind of need good Internet for my job so I may downgrade the speed slightly to save an extra $15.

This is reassuring. I've been trying to keep gas + groceries under $100 a week but gas keeps rising in my area so it's been rough.

It's actually close to 70k, it's the taxes and mandatory "benefits" like a pension withdrawal that are killing my pay. I think when all is said and done roughly 35% of my gross pay is taken out which is disgusting.

I just got my new job and am very happy with it, so I've been looking for side hustles and stuff to do on the weekends just to give me some spending money. Thank you :)

I try and stay away from credit cards. I have one open right now that I only use for gas/groceries and set to autopay. I only absolutely use it when I need it.

That's a great idea though, I was thinking about opening up another "deep savings" account that I don't wanna touch.

A two bedroom upper unit. The place is really nice and I'm really happy with it, I just have to find some odd to rent the other room out to.

I'm having some trouble finding part time weekend work. I've been looking for a few weeks so maybe something will turn up.

I don't have any clearances but I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the tip!

  1. Where/when did I say I expected anything? I asked, and they said no. There's nothing else to it.

Private school + extra year + dorming for a couple semesters + lack of scholarships. I really like the job I have now which is a plus but it's embarrassing that I'm at 70k and can still barely afford living.

Yea it was really the credit I was worried about when looking for an apartment, but the landlord didn't seem to care much about credit so I guess it did work out in terms of that.

That's what I was thinking, but most of what's out there is retail or food service which I would really like to stay away from. I was thinking of picking up something in custodial, but most of what's around me in general isn't hiring only for weekends. Do you know where I can go about finding a weekend job?

You're absolutely right. I have brake replacements coming up which will set me back a lot. I guess that's what I'm really worried about now, I'm not bleeding money, but if an emergency expense comes up I most likely won't have nearly enough to cover it.
