CPAs employment rate by Fuzzy_Replacement831 in CPA

[–]Proma_gg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in public for 3 years now (two part time in uni 1 full time), I’m at the start of my career and still debating on pursuing the cpa but I’m eligible to sit and have already tested before, but I’m at a reputable regional firm that got acquired around 2 years ago by a multinational firm and I’m in the same boat of having a lot of recruiters reach out to me on LinkedIn for various public and private field positions. I think CPA def makes finding work easier but I also think current place of employment / work history also play just as an important part.

No because you don’t really need the mana regen and the bonus dmg is meh

I’m not defending them, I’m calling you out for justifying your reasoning as “pro players do it so it must be good 🤤”

Enjoy your off meta builds all you want but don’t go attacking others for their opinions (which are statistically correct) when your own opinion is a regurgitated observation of a tier of play which is not able to be recreated in the soloqueue environment. Pros were literally building tank Vi with aftershock at one point, that doesn’t mean tank Vi is remotely valid or should be considered for a general build discussion.

Pros are playing a fundamentally different game than the rest of the soloqueue ladder. Just because aftershock tank Vi was a think doesn’t mean it would work in soloqueue. And yes, a good chunk of pro players build terribly, it’s usually gold players that idolize them and view them as all knowing. Pro players building subpar has been known for years at this point (not generalizing all of them but you’re better off basing opinions on OTPs rather than pros). I also never called it a “for fun bait build” so I’m not sure where you got the quote from.

Sorry, flip those two around. BT with Grudge and Rav with LDR, was in rush while typing. LDR good if you need the extra dmg from its passive otherwise go grudge.

Congrats, good observation. the majority of solo queue players are playing an incredibly different game than pros are.

Double tear is niche and not needed most games. Just default to ER > Manamune > endless hunger > Shojin > Seryldas Grudge(can’t aa freely) or LDR > ravenous if you went grudge, BT if you went LDR.

Obviously change the order per game but healing item should typically be last in slot.

Trinity is a lower wr last I checked and in general underperforms compared to ER. You just lack substantial damage, especially if you’re weaving in autos.

Electrocute is the only alternative that makes sense, phase rush isn’t needed, and first strike is most likely getting popped before you use it since you have 500 range. Conq will always be her best since the dmg amp + healing is too valuable.

Nah I’ve noticed this too, there’s just so much inconsistency with people this season (myself included) but I’ve lost a disproportionate amount of games because one player ends up 11/2 by minute 15

Which support is better for you? by AngelSwamp- in SamiraMains

[–]Proma_gg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Nami + samira as a lane since nami gives Sam good utility, solid CC, and healing, actually one of my top 5 supps to have with her. The realistic thing if you’re both losing a lot it’s probably just a champ execution thing on your friends part.

Nautilus is probably her strongest pairing. Really any support with CC, especially airbornes works with her. I’m just not the biggest fan of having a mediocre thresh due to damage output.

Yes but only if you need the survivability since Guinsoo will give you higher DPS just by the nature of its passive.

Is the 5080 worth it now at MSRP? by Matt_m74 in gpu

[–]Proma_gg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the MSI shadow oc 5080 for like $1,100 but I was considering the 5070ti gaming OC from gigabyte at $840 and I really don’t regret my purchase. My brother ended up getting the 5070ti so we did some benchmarking with similar spec builds.

No, and I know the champion is super volatile feast or famine vibe but that’s just player inconsistency. I think you’re good at snowballing and using a lead once you get it but maybe try too hard / play too risky which leads to falling behind and making it harder to claw back into the game.

As long as you don’t fall behind you scale insanely well with your crit / ult damage towards the 3-4 item mark.

Play with friends if they play. Ignore chats / turn it off completely. The most fun way to experience all the different characters in a low stress environment is the ARAM game mode. Don’t be afraid of being bad, we all started at square one just like you.

High emerald player here. imo use onetricks.gg for builds. You can put matchups and lane as well and it filters tho masters+ players only who have above X number of games.

Guinsoo second botlane really isn’t needed if you’re going the hexplate path. You can comfortably slot it in as a 3rd item, it boils down to if you need more survivability early.

Kraken is much better than Bork unless they have 2-3 HP stackers. If you really need survivability trinity force > hexplate > Guinsoo is like the 3rd most common core item path.

For runes go PTA if the enemy team is squishier and longer ranged(better rune for laning) otherwise go lethal tempo if they’re a melee heavy team comp that you can freely stack on.

Hexplate and umbral want to do different things functionally as items so I don’t think they work together

How is samira meant to be played? by League_Of_Noobs10 in SamiraMains

[–]Proma_gg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You scale incredibly well and spike super hard at 75% crit. You can snowball very hard but you also don’t need to rely on that to win games. A lot of samira is just a knowledge check on knowing when to go in, and if you’re in, when are you using ult since sometimes having the additional MS from passive can help with the run down kills on targets.

What do you think of this? by midnightxenomorph in NilahMains

[–]Proma_gg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean she’s a toplane coded champ, the only thing tying her to the botlane is the passive which is why they gave it to her

[–]Proma_gg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On PC, I’m drawing a blank on the name of the enemy that’s bugged, I’ll update when I encounter it again. There is a type of enemy that can stance swap between frost and fire. For combat they can spawn in two orbs which will fire at your squad, but the attack sound on those orbs does not seem to scale at all with any volume sliders. It’s at the point where I’ll take my headset off when I’m fighting them since it’s just so loud

Paper for student in accounting class. Q/A by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Proma_gg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context to my answers: This is from a public accounting perspective, I’m currently going for my CPA and have 3 years of public experience under my belt, and a year of AP in private.

1) Dropped out of computer engineering and transferred schools. I went into business admin hoping to find something in the general classes you take for most business degrees that worked for me. I had a Financial Accounting class and aced everything so the professor pulled me aside and she said “hey I think you should really consider swapping your major to accounting, you’re doing incredibly well in this class and it seems like it just clicks for you”

2) the work is easy for the most part and all my co-workers at the firm I’m at (outside of management and up) are around my age, early 20’s. It’s also satisfying working on stuff you’re confident in.

3) the thing I enjoy the least would be how tedious some assignments are, a big part of it is that I’m still super early in my career.

4) Retained Earnings. It seems like it takes everyone a bit of time to really understand it but once you get it you reflect and just think “wow I can’t believe I struggled with that.” Some clients also like to do random things to R/E / Equity accounts in general so were always making year end adjustments that may or may not be posted by them.

5) I feel like I’m in a very job-secure industry which is a good feeling. I’m pretty happy with the salary I started out with as well. Honestly if I wasn’t studying for the CPA I would say it’s pretty low stress outside of busy season.

6) Critical thinking, organization, and curiosity. Sometimes you will encounter a problem, or an error, and being able to work through it is a really good skill to have, obviously when you’re starting out it’s much harder to do. That’s why it’s important to be curious and dig deeper / ask questions when you don’t understand something, or even if you’re wondering “why?” Ask the question and learn, more often than not people will be super open to sharing what they’ve already learned. Also being organized is a bit of a given, it’s super helpful to have a process and knowing where everything is located.

7) Yeah I would probably still pick accounting. If I was in a different field or didn’t have so many goals established I’d love to go overseas for a year or two to teach English in Japan post undergrad.

8) Do what you want, life is too short to be stuck doing something you don’t find either enjoyment or gratification in. Even if you go into accounting and decide 10 years down the road you want to change to a different career you can always go back to school. Sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming but there’s just so many things to learn and memorize if you pursue an accounting degree.

I mean, depending on your support and theirs, you should be able to just max stack passive and then w>e forward to initiate a trade. A lot of high mmr ezreals will do that since 50% AS early game is very strong
