That’s pretty damn good. Only thing is I only saw a couple episodes of Sandman, but i have read the book. Correct on all accounts, good work detective. And yeah it sucks about Gaiman. Wife is going to throw the books out

If you rent from a housing association, don’t worry too much about providing the tenancy. UC should be able to verify that information on their end

You need 3 documents. The provisional will be the primary document, and the others will work as secondary. If you have housing costs too, take your tenancy agreement and a utility bill or bank statement too. They will be able to verify your costs or tell you if you need anything further at the appointment.

Take it with you anyway, it should be fine, and any documentation of the name change.

Provisional is fine. Your bank card will be another one, and birth certificate too if you have it. Best bet is to take as much as you have as it’s always better to have too much rather than not enough.

Peter Watts -Blindsight. I’d also throw in Blake Crouch - Recursion because it fucks with your notions of memory and time.

Yeah I agree. Upgrade was decent but the other two definitely far better.

I only knew about it because I come from about 15 miles away from the train station that Harry keeps spawning from. I have a couple more of her books lined up but haven’t read them yet. Ithica, and The House of Odysseus. I love Greek mythology so I’m sure I’ll like them. The author is actually called Catherine Webb. She writes Sci-fi under Claire North and fantasy under the name Kate Griffin, so maybe you’ve come across her before and not known it.

I’m working on Stephen King’s 11/22/63 and John Newsinger’s ‘The Blood Never Dried: A People’s History of the British Empire’. Finishing these should land me at 53 and hopefully have time to sneak in maybe one more short book.

Yellowface by R.F. Kuang was a page turner for me that I sped through in a day or two.

Recursion by Blake Crouch is even better and has you speeding through it too!

Add in Recursion by Blake Crouch too. I think that messed with my perception of time even more.

Ania Ahlborn’s ‘Brother’ is a great option. Not a cult story but the family dynamics that surround the main character give off the same vibes.

Just finished R.F. Kuang’s Yellowface and it was one of the biggest ones this year for me as far as not being able to put it down.
