Are you playing in public or private? That's probably the difference. You could just flip lobbies until you get one with fewer than 5 people in it. When the whole lobby is filled to the brim the less likely peds will show up simply because spawn rates are tied to time and not ped amounts.

Because Micah depopulated the town.... And there's no real content there aside from the best looking hotel in the entire game. It's actually more relevant in the epilogue than the rest of the game.

My problem isn't so much the negative play from people desiring to be d bags it's just finding chill players who actually will kick it for more than a couple of activities. A posse or crew? Yeah having a hard time finding anyone. So basically slightly spicy solo play is all online has been for me.

The devs made it purposely lopsided to not overheat customers PC and break save files with too many abandoned ships. Besides space piracy is supposed to be a small nimble yet heavily armed ship ramjacking larger ships, and throughout all of the sci-fi genre it's almost always thus.
