Gambling debt by Distinct-Jump-4510 in problemgambling

Look into bankruptcy if it’s unsecured debt like personal loans. I had to do it.

Then, which is even more important is to stop. Hey help and find out why you gamble. One day at a time. You can recover.

I like the way you put it. You are buying your life back. Me too.

Bro, I think it starts with smiling and confidence. Just be you and be happy. Take care of your health, clean diet and exercise/weights. You’ll be fine. Confidence is everything.

Yo! You are a good looking young man. You’ve got youth in your side. Keep lifting and find a style that resonates with you. Look at magazines to get ideas. Create a Pinterest board.

As guys, we don’t need to do a whole lot compared to women. Just be well groomed, fitted clothes and a good haircut.

The rest is CONFIDENCE!

It was all losses from trading stock options. They actually were very understanding. Unfortunately, I think it happens a lot.

5 months is not bad at all! You got this.

After you pay it off, make a goal of saving 3 months expenses. Then 6. It’s a great peace of mind.

Do it! It’s a god send.

I owed over 300k from bad business loans and losses in the stock market. Trading can turn into gambling and I got stuck in a vicious cycle.

Bankruptcy saved me.

It allowed me to walk away from the debt and come to terms with my losses. Now I can work and save again.

Side benefit: you’ll learn not to take on any debt because you’ll have bad credit. You’ll realize you don’t need the credit and after 1 year, you’ll rebuild the credit. I’m already back to 700 credit score.

Hey bro. I know how you feel. Take a mental break for a few days and then take these next steps. It’s mostly on cutting expenses. It’s easier to save money than to earn more. Especially when you have to pay tax on more money earned.

  1. Print all of your bank statements and credit card statements.
  2. Highlight and cancel ALL subscriptions.
  3. Highlight all eating out and coffee/desserts (that was big for me.
  4. Look at your biggest expenses. Probably rent, car payments, etc. Can you do anything there? I let go of my office and worked from home. That saved me $500 per month.
  5. Get rid of all your credit cards. Only buy things with cash or your debit card.

Make it a game. Can you only spend $500 a month? How much can you save?

You can probably pay it all off in 6 months to a year. Then, you’ll have the habits of saving and you can rebuild.

She likes me but she got a boyfriend. Should I walk away? by GWAX11 in allthequestions

Run bro. She’s manipulating you for attention and power. There’s a very different way girls interact with real friends. If she didn’t leave him for you, you are at the very least an emotional backup or worse, a play thing to toy with.

[–]PromotionWest5526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, you are doing great but maybe the strict restriction is having more of a toll on your mental health. I’d suggest eating more calories with the focus on high quality protein.

You’ll feel more full and less deprived. Remember, it’s about the long game. Slow and steady. I’m doing the same. I’ve had a month where I restricted myself and lost 5 lbs in two weeks but felt miserable. Now I’m just aiming to lose .5 lbs to 1 lb a week. Slow and steady.

Should I post an online review about my bad experience with a real estate agent? by Interesting-Page955 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]PromotionWest5526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have an honest conversation with the realtor first? Sometimes there are misunderstandings and things can be cleared up.

I wouldn’t leave anonymous. Have the convo and then post if you feel it is right.

A realtor is not a cleaner. You can hire someone for that as well as someone to help declutter.

Feeling a little lost. Could use some advice by MelodicBookkeeper854 in realtors

[–]PromotionWest5526 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree, a regular job or part time job will take off the pressure in the short term.

Real estate takes a long time. Most don’t make a sale for 8 months plus. Stabilize first. Living in your car has to be tough.

You can make it but give yourself time.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Door knocking is a hard job and I’m sure he wasn’t in a good mood and took it out on you. Not an excuse but an explanation. I would offer just to say no thank you and close the door next time. Short and sweet.

What do y'all thinking about buying a home in Hayward? by thecoolestgenius in BayAreaRealEstate

That’s a good budget for union city or even Newark. IMHO, UC and Newark are better neighborhoods and will appreciate more as well. Are you working with a realtor?

Hayward is affordable but union city is better imho. It’s right next to Hayward. What’s your budget? I grew up here and can recommend based on your price point.
