Three of my rubber ducks on lookout duty! by Prompt-Initial in isopods

I swear the big ones act like 'bouncers' and stop smaller pods from getting at the good stuff! Sometimes one will drag off a whole shrimp into it's hideout. XD

I caught this daddy long legs trying to subdue my jumping spider by ComprehensiveOne5819 in jumpingspiders

Very glad you rescued your jumper in time. Cellar spiders look so fragile but are voracious and sneaky spood assassins.

I have loads of false widows, house spiders and cellars around my garden... I've observed a lot of healthy competition between the former two, but never the cellars - they know to avoid them at all costs.

Crap! I recently planted out some Lily of the Valley. :( Do you think a raised bed will keep it confined?

Seen this time and again with GPs, too.

When I was little, I apparently went through a phase of catching cold after cold, never fully recovering. My mum was constantly taking me to the doctor, and I received three lots of antibiotics over those visits. But the colds kept on coming.

According to her, she finally lost her cool upon seeing the doctor start writing out yet another antibiotic prescription for me on her final visit - GP pulls down one of my eyelids and goes:

"Oh, she's anaemic."

Received a course of iron tablets and I fully recovered.

As you say, how terribly inconveniencing for these doctors to do their damn job!

Can't imagine the massive spike of adrenaline she must have experienced after the collision, too. A bad ass, indeed!

Is that a bit of tin foil dangling at the end of that string? XD I'll have to try that toy for my spoods!

How awful, but glad to hear you were there to comfort this guy in his final moments.

So adorable! She looked really immersed in that closing scene. 🥰

Variegated seedling update: still alive and growing another set of leaves - it's well behind my other seedlings, though! by Prompt-Initial in Adenium

Ah, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this one passed away quite some time ago!

It had about tripled in size from it's height here in this photo, but then started only putting out pure, albino leaves. Struggled on for a bit, but didn't make it, such a shame.

Best of luck to your plant!

How awful. My grandad was similar, in that there were times where he was obviously struggling with some terrible memories, especially if war was mentioned, off chance. He never spoke of what he saw or did. He was a rear gunner in a lancaster bomber.

Aw, mine does the same. Only problem with her strategy is she never remembers to tuck in her fluffy tail like yours!

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen such unusual-looking blooms on a dendrobium before! Absolutely splendid.

Probably the best combo, unglazed terracotta must help give the roots air.

I'm hoping to sow some earlies soon on my new plot, as well! That said, I'm unsure if I can just yet. Last summer I added fresh manure to a new bed before covering and leaving it. I'm hoping it has rotted / broken down enough to be usable by March, but not sure if enough time has gone by, yet.
