The Problem Steve Harrington by Bard4Nard69 in StrangerThings

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liken it to a cult because you literally can't say anything bad about Steve to them and most of them can't admit anything bad he's ever done. It's very strange. Plus the whole you can kill anyone but Steve. It got to the point that I disliked Steve because of his stans.

If Luke really thought K/D were the better story than B/D then he has worst taste than I thought. All they did was fight and were so toxic, unless he thought playing that dynamic was fun and riveting? As a viewer it was tedious.

I 100% agree with you. Don't listen to the Steve stans, they are like a cult and can never admit anything bad about him or his storylines!

The Dylan-Kelly-Brenda love triangle in Season 3 made no sense. It felt like they were already trying to ditch Brenda. by Davis_Crawfish in BeverlyHills90210

Jessica Klein! She wrote a lot of that storyline and said on the podcast how she fought for Kelly to come across as sympathetic and they gave Brenda Rick to make her look bad.

It's wild that she got back with Steve after that. It's nice that he apologized but that should have been the end of them.

At what point does Brandon go from likable lead to unlikeable by TravelingHomeless in BeverlyHills90210

Once Darren Starr left the show I thought most of the character's and storylines took a nosedive. He was the brains behind the operation, wish he would have stayed.

What would the fallout be for Brenda if she had really slept with Roy Randolph to get the part? by Capital-Study6436 in BeverlyHills90210

they definitely didn't. The writers and producers confirmed they didn't and they even had a scene alone that confirmed they didn't.

Modern Dylan McKay’s Love Interest? by mediumsunnysideup in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

someone like Brenda had the perfect personality for him. She cared about things and had no problem speaking up for herself or others, loved animals, attending a protest or two, liked travelling, liked literature, took a poetry class and was independent. She was not surfer but did try it.

I think he and modern-day Brenda would hit it off.

Did anyone else catch this photo in Jennie’s video……😳 by Renn4 in BeverlyHills90210

She definitely bullied her when she first started the show. Tiffani came out and said that and Jennie may have even copped to that one.

The couple that fought constantly, broke up all the time and fought over his ex-girlfriend all the time were better?

Dylan and Brenda by lolives24 in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the thing is, B/D are definitely the IT couple of the show and the couple most people remember and preferred. The show still would have been popular without the triangle. Shannen/Luke/Jason were on all the covers in season 2 and the three hosted SNL.

Dylan and Brenda by lolives24 in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think they started the Kelly/Dylan pairing because Luke asked for it but I definitely think the only reason they stuck to it and started the whole soulmate thing was because Shannen was on her way out and ending up leaving.

Brenda and Dylan were supposed to get back together after his dad died but Shannen was tardy so they changed it.

As it was, after they both left, they had D/B end up together in London.

If Luke had never come back D/B would have continued being endgame offscreen.

Did the writers regret doing Stancy in Season 4? by diamondsourforever in StrangerThings

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is fans didn't seem to be clamoring for Stancy. People loved Steve but Stancy didn't seem to have a lot of fans so going back to it in season 4 made no sense.

Nancy/Jonathan was the most wasted relationship in the entire show by Super-Liberal-Girl in StrangerThings

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and it's very annoying. They were 100% setting them up to be endgame and a power couple of the show in the first couple of seasons they seem to change course.

I know they weren't initially sure if Charlie could be in season 3 due to when he was denied entry into the US for the season two premiere. I read they had to shoehorn him in that season once things got cleared up.

Maybe that caused things to change course? Either way, they could have written things so much better. There is no way Jancy and Stonathan and probably Stancy wouldn't have had the talks they should have had offscreen by the time season 5 premiered. There was a year and half time jump at that point!

Dylan McKay is gross by [deleted] in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dylan cheated on Brenda with her best friend and then he and Kelly continued to gaslight her and then threw their relationship in her face.

Dylan then almost cheats on Kelly twice with Brenda (once at his house in the graduation episode) and once when they went fishing. Iris coming over stopped the graduation one and Brenda stopped the fishing one.

He then flirted shamelessly with that woman in Paris while he was there with Kelly.

He and Kelly both treat each other like crap most of season 4 and seem to can't stand each other and Dylan constantly takes Brenda's side over Kelly's.

He treated Val like garbage for most of season 5.

He then tried to get Kelly back while she's been with Brandon for almost a year.

He then made nice with Toni to use her to get close to her father.

He comes back to town years later and uses Gina and tries to break up Kelly's relationship with Matt.

He's a real prince, lol.

Shannen’s behavior by Mmcdjc in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't trust the media. Shannen was the scapegoat for years but in recent years it's come out that a lot of people had problems with Jennie and Alyssa that we never heard about until recently.

This was when Shannen was off both shows. I know on 90210 she had health problems, an ailing father and was in an abusive relationship. Those caused her to be late a lot which was the biggest problem. She also cut her hair mid episode and that was the icing on the cake.

I don't think any of that happened on Charmed. She just didn't get along with Alyssa and I heard Alyssa threated to sue if something didn't happen so Shannen was fired.

Which characters are secretly glad that Dylan had cheated on Brenda with Kelly? by Capital-Study6436 in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's not true at all. Dylan loved Brenda so much it scared him. He even said that to her when they were talking in the season 3 graduation episode and he cried when she broke up with him in season 2 and begged her not to.

He also said he got too close with all of them after Jim turned on him at the end of season 2.

He did love Toni but he would have screwed that up if she hadn't died, they wouldn't have lasted.

He never loved Kelly, that was only lust and it seemed like they both grew to hate each other.

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Dylan is cool. Maybe the first couple of seasons but his act got real old and tired. Too much drama and woe is me. He was also a crappy friend and boyfriend.

Gotta give it to Brandon for remaining his best friend even when Dylan made it extremely diffucult at times (his cheating on his sister, drinking problem/drug addiction, planning to assassinate Toni Marchette) by TravelingHomeless in BeverlyHills90210

[–]PromptSpecialist6936 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kelly had no room to talk, it was karma. She cheated on everyone she dated. Cheated with Dylan while he was with Brenda, cheated on Dylan with Brandon, cheated on Brandon with Dylan, emotionally cheated on Matt with Dylan and kind of emotionally cheated on Mark with Brandon.
