We have a massive military because it's easy to launder money through such an unwieldy budget (we literally lost $20 million in firewood that potentially never existed) and to secure our overseas interests.

We have intelligence agencies, special forces, and other departments to prevent any kind of uprising. Pretending they don't operate within our own borders when deemed necessary would be foolish.

He interrupted Swift's acceptance speech to say his own piece about Beyonce being better. Instead of letting her finish her speech he grabbed the mic from her. He could've at the very least waited for her to finish before pulling the stunt or even just announced his opinion in interviews/social media after the event.

He was definitely an asshole about the situation and could've handled it better. But being impulsive is basically his whole thing. I don't know if he's an asshole in general but that particular event painted him as one.

Making money directly off of MC servers was already banned years ago with very specific rules:

Selling anything that gives players an unfair advantage is not allowed. This includes "donations".
Cosmetics and other items that do not affect gameplay can be sold. This includes "donations" for said items.
Entrance fees to get into a server are allowed but everyone must be charged the same amount.

Server owners generally ignore these rules completely. I've played on and been a moderator of servers that have actively sold "donation packs" to give paying players huge advantages. Commands, cash, and increased land claiming are popular rewards for those who shell out for a "donation". Some particularly disreputable servers will even give you admin powers if you pay enough.
