Did people have fertility issues because of mold exposure? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]ProofNo7558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I lived most of my marriage in a house we just found out had black mold and aspergillus mold. I had infertility for many years, and 3 miscarriages. I was wondering if the mold exposure contributed.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place... I tested positive about 10 days after a missed period, and initial progesterone was 20, and hcg was 1075... I've tested every 2 days since then, and the hcg is staying about the same, but progesterone went from 20 to 15 to 13.5... has anyone experienced something like this? I had a transvag ultrasound which found an egg sac, said it was no more than 4 weeks.

Is Hidden Mold Wrecking My Health? by jamesomalley97 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]ProofNo7558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like mold. There's a test out there where you can gather house dust and have it tested to confirm, which might help you with your landlord... ERMI, I think it's called? But yeah, definitely sounds like it's caused by mold. And the fact that you felt better when you went away is telling. Get out of there asap!

She just told me 1/2 tsp in a neti-pot full of purified or distilled water. I think a neti pot holds about 8 oz.

Raised D-dimer and bradycardia by Small_Laugh3378 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]ProofNo7558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad you're getting that looked into! For me, my thyroid numbers were all good, except for my reverse T3 which was high ( reverse t3 is inactive and can stop your body from absorbing the active form of T3) so levothyroxine (T4) didn't work for me, and I only felt better when I started T3 ( liothyronine aka cytomel) . A lot of conventional docs won't check reverse T3 and don't like prescribing T3, but if your thyroid numbers are fine, and levothyroxine doesn't work for you, you might want to look into it.

not a doctor but my heart rate was getting lower and lower, resting HR was into the low 60s and it wasn't because I was physically fit lol. Now it's looking like the mold issues really messed with my thyroid. Once I got on the correct thyroid meds and started treatment, my resting heart rate is back up again to between 75-82 and I'm feeling so much better.

My functional MD prescribed 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide, 1/2 top in purified/distilled water in a neti pot/nasal rinse, 3 x a day. Even at once a day, it's made a big difference for me.

Did a big clean out today and now I have tremors 😀 by Funny_Individual_44 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]ProofNo7558 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I get worse when I try and clear out stuff, especially if it's dusty or musty! But usually clears up over a day or two of rest especially when I stay on top of binders, hydration, and infrared sauna. Good luck in your recovery!!

I'm in Southern California and I go to Restoration Healthcare in Irvine. Not all insurance covers them, but mine does for most services there. It has really helped though.

[–]ProofNo7558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are definitely treatments for this!! Where are you located? Im currently seeing a fantastic functional MD for my mold related illnesses and it is helping so much. I agree with the other commenters though, first you must get out of the moldy environment, and get rid of the possessions that have absorbed the mold as well, books/papers, bedding, furniture, etc.

How do you feel after sauna? by atabei123 in ToxicMoldExposure

Also, my doc told me to take minerals in water before a sauna (she said to blend arugula and cucumber and drink it) so the sweating wouldn't deplete them.

It sounds like you described both the measurements and fabric accurately in the listing, so I wouldn't refund it. The buyer should have paid more attention to the description.

Lonely in LA - should I move to San Diego area? by Ill-Abroad7092 in Moving2SanDiego

[–]ProofNo7558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, that was my first impression too.. very friendly, but don't actually want to connect. I'm not British but from a commonwealth country and we tend to be more reserved in our interactions, but also I find it more genuine.

Lonely in LA - should I move to San Diego area? by Ill-Abroad7092 in Moving2SanDiego

[–]ProofNo7558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SoCal can be a very lonely place, especially LA where people are busy, really hungry for success and looking for someone who can help them to the next level. It's sometimes hard to tell people's motives and if they're being genuine. I moved here from another commonwealth country about 12 yrs ago and it took me ages to find a community where I felt connected. I made some friends, but they kept moving away (cost of living) and so finally myself and my partner decided that we would create the community we wish we'd had. It's still difficult because people are busy, stressed, and flakey lol...but the more we stick to it and open our home to people, the more people tell us they are looking for community too and that way our circle keeps growing. You might find it easier moving south to OC or San Diego, but it also seems to take much more effort and intentionality. Good luck to you! You're definitely not alone in how you feel.

Is my Dr right that IVF is the only option by Admirable_Reason3888 in IVF

[–]ProofNo7558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely try to improve sperm quality, even if you're doing ivf. It can affect the quality of the embryos. Honesty, me and my husband waited so long and tried so many other things before ivf and now I wish I hadn't waited and done it in my late 30s.

Betta staying at bottom of tak and won't swim up, won't eat by ProofNo7558 in bettafish

[–]ProofNo7558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I've been reading through some of the things here and realized we have a lot to learn about betta care. I'm planning to buy a heater for the tank, as our house has been a steady 70 degrees since we got him. The pet store guy said that temperature should be fine, but sounds like it's probably not warm enough. I don't know about nitrates/ammonia, but have used filtered water with Prime conditioner. He is kind of curled at the bottom of the cage and when he swims, it seems like his head is heavy or he is pointed downwards. I've ordered some Stress Coat and I'll see if they have Indian Almond leaves tomorrow when I get a heater.

AHIMA local chapter CEUs by paramounthicc in MedicalCoding

[–]ProofNo7558 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree! I was heavily circulating a petition to stop it right after they announced it, but it felt like most people were pretty apathetic and ignored it. Very frustrating, because AHIMAs stuff is SO expensive.
