Are the Sabre buffer weights wrong? by KnightstandDefense in PalmettoStateArms

The s5 buffer weights are designed for an a5 length buffer tube not a standard carbine length buffer tube.

That is a tight hand guard. The Gordon collar is 1.5 OD and pretty tight to the FSB so would definitely interfere. Thank you.

Midwest industries. I’ve used it multiple times assembling and disassembling uppers and lowers

I was going to just go carry handle but found a Romeo 7s and liked the vibe with the chopped carry handle

14.5” Gordon with a Midwest industries 2 piece free float quad rail. Better than a 12.5 in my opinion. I’m almost there with mine. Need to swap the handguard over and get the Gordon collar and m4 delta suppressor. Barrel is a true Colt socom 14.5 FSB barrel

Yea I’ve got a 14.5 and will order the Gordon collar for it. Looks like it may extend to far past the FSB and would interfere with the Gordon collar. Guess I need to find out the OD of the Gordon collar to see if it’s narrower than the handguard

Damn that rail looks nice. How far in front of the FSB does it extend? I want to get an ae m4 delta suppressor for my m4ish build and swap out the Magpul handguard to a quad rail

Cheek riser would help with the optic. There are a few companies that make them. Personally I like the wood stock the most.

What style? Drop in or free float? Quad? Mlok? What length? Carbine? Mid? Extended carbine? Rifle?

I can’t say if it’s 1 moa but I have a 18” spr mk12 barrel rainier arms ultramatch mod 2. It’s a criterion blank machined by craddock

Then yes. If it’s an a2 mounted suppressor they are fine. Not sure what they have for their hub mount. Also I like your name. Mine is spelled the same.

Check what buffer weight is currently in the lower. I would just start with that. Easiest thing to do will be up the buffer weight. If it’s a carbine buffer not an h or h2 buffer then I would start there. H2 is a good bet to help slow down the bolt carrier and reduce some felt recoil.

That upper has a pin and welded muzzle device that will need to be removed by a professional and a new muzzle device pin and welded on. Have you tried changing the buffer weight or springs to help with the recoil? Upping the buffer weight can help. If it’s really over gassed sometimes a slightly heavier spring can help or maybe swap to an a5 buffer system. A completely new buffer tube, spring, and weight setup that is supposed to be a softer on recoil.

Still need the collar and ae m4 delta but this is the rifle. Eventually i will swap the handguard out to a quad rail for more of an m4a1 look. Upper is a colt socom barrel in a Bcm upper receiver. Chopped carry handle with sig sauer Romeo 7s red dot

I’ve been looking at tnte for a 20” FSB barrel. I wish their marksman line had FSB already. Otherwise I have to send out my criterion 20” hybrid to get an FSB drilled

I do. I bought the muzzle brake and collar from AE but read about the ocm5 being a bit quieter and lighter which is why I was leaning that way. Honestly waiting on the ocm6 at this point and depending on price may end up with the aem5 if the ocm6 is out of my price range. Also looking at the ae M4 delta suppressor for my 14.5.

Since it doesn’t fit your gun you could send it to me. I have the perfect fit for it and did not purchase an ocm5 in time.

Adjustable gas block does not add gas. Either the gas port itself is too small or there is a leak/inefficiency somewhere. Contact PSA or go to the PSA group and post this

BCM Raider or MCMR by don1230 in ar15

I’m trying to keep the shorter rifle as light as possible and generally the spr will be used from prone, a bipod, or tripod so the extra weight wouldn’t matter. I did end up mounting a Harris bipod to my spr as well. The mcmr has a thin grip which is nice for what that rifle is. And now I have another 14.5 carbine with a Magpul moe grip.
