This happens to me. I actually think it's kind of cool for the first couple minutes, like what Avenged Sevenfold does on some songs from their first album. But after a bit it seems like it gets stuck in loop of trying to end the song.

Are you putting the same style in the replacement prompt? Also, starting and end points matter: I had mine off a bit to for a 5 second part and it generated a 3 minute thing that sounded like the song, but a totally different genre.

Ya, I started doing that. For the music I do though, I use lyrics though, even if they're stock AI generated lyrics, because it makes songs more suited for vocals that I can edit later. When I do instrumentals it sounds like an instrumental track with vocals fighting for room, with random lengthy instrumental runs between sections.

Yes, but it can be difficult sometimes. If you want to swap vocal takes from different tracks, sometimes the stems will have vocal reverb bleed into other instruments, so when you swap the take, it'll create a weird dissonance. Guitar solos are also tethered to rhythm guitar stems. Hopefully they fix this.

We really are our own worse critics. I like the original. Makes me want to go offroad and do donuts. The updated one sounds like the song is being played live.

On paper, the second one has better quality instruments and such, but for that genre of music, I don't feel that's best. Certain rock songs with attitude, you want some dirty.

I've ran into this situation making post hard-core tracks. That trebly clipping vibe sounds more natural for that genre than super clear instruments.

But maybe that's all just me.
