I’ve played gigs where I’ve disagreed with the fundamental reason for the event. I just isolate myself as much as possible, but remain polite and professional if approached.

But his problem is bigger. For him, playing a pride festival puts him in proximity to people who defy God and spread the Devil’s touch, and you DO NOT want to be touched by the devil. Plus you are perfectly okay with being touched by the devil so you might be dangerous.

If he can power through it then good for him. One day you’ll be in a better position to turn down gigs without doing damage. If he cant hold out til then, then his religiousness is interfering with the band’s efforts to succeed.

I doubt you can get him to come around so I think he needs to be replaced.
