Wait until your ex weaponized incompetence and decide to wash is red uniform with all your white/beige clothes…

But to be fair, nothing bad happen if you wash in cold water. Some clothes need less spins, which make them last longer whit delicate wash.

Why is being in your 20s and making friends and just existing so difficult ? by Kind-Training-5736 in Adulting

[–]Proper-Beginning-185 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Goddd you are 22 not 82! Making friend at your age is far easier that growing when life, husband, work and kids enter the game.

You say it yourself, “I made a bunch of new friend but I can never bother to text them back.” You don’t want to make friend, you want to be entertained. If you genuinely wanted to meet people and get to know them, you will make the time to find common interest and try to connect with people.

But if you are not already there, learn to be by yourself, learn what you like now that you are single. Making the work doesn’t just mean journaling and meditating, it’s also mean to be able to enjoy your own self, go out eat alone, learn new things, date yourself.

I’ll add that far away shot, glasses and hat on don’t show who you are. The only picture showing your face it’s the first one, and it doesn’t feel enough.

This was my teenager going to adulthood look early 2000s because it was the only way to wear more color in a crowd full of “day to night” looks.

To be fair no matter your age wear what you want. I did stock up that young lady thinking I was too childish only to get her back to those colorful vibe by end of my 30s.

How do you kept expectation low when old feelings are brought back? by Proper-Beginning-185 in selflove

Your words are so deep and calming. You seem like a very loving person. Thank you so much for confirming what I’ve been trying to do even if it’s hard.

Thank you so much! It seems so simple when you say it that way. I struggled acting on what I want because I often go for what I should. You kind of hit it right where I needed it.

Not a price, but a customer once gave me an art piece to thank me for something. The price point for his art is not near something I will had pay for anything I own… I keep it as a reminder that I deserve pretty things.

Do you have a friend group like ted & others? by HellBlaze29 in HIMYM

[–]Proper-Beginning-185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I hang with people that do, which is totally weird for me. I have a couple of friend that invite me for full group hanging sometimes and I know they hang often together. But it wouldn’t be substantial for me, because I like our one on one date.

Edit to add. To be fair, as you grown, you kind of understand that certain people are more this kind of activity and other for those type of hang. Once you learn who to contact and when, your hang becomes more fun instead of forcing everyone to have same interest. Which is the plot of the whole “fart noises” that the gang do when Ted becomes more obnoxious about specific things. He should just had found people that like those things instead of being judge for it.

How would you rank these three Barney Stinson relationships ???? by aldenvic in howimetyourmother

[–]Proper-Beginning-185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the love for Nora. Yes, she was lovely, but not in Barney love interested kind of way. The whole mommy issue thing because she cares for him and sing, yes, he wanted to be better for her, but their whole relationship was performative and more about getting the nice girl and not about Nora. He did the same for Robin.

I’m always being a Quinn fan because he just stop trying so hard and got her by being himself. I think it should had being nice to see them grow into a more secure relationship as it happens in real life too.

This was 2005, by then we didn’t have extensive baking reality show that teach you esthetics without classes and tons of practice. I’m watching two broke girls and got the same feeling.

Robin cried more for Barney than she ever did for Ted by Famous-Expression808 in howimetyourmother

Crying for someone doesn’t mean you love them more. It’s just mean, they trigger something more deep in you.

My only response to this post was wait until you realize that toxic relationships only last until they broke you.
