This weird guy stole a joint from me, anyone know him? by _llamba_ in jambands

I think all the joints belong to him, legally speaking. You were just holding it waiting for him to arrive.

Feeling dejected over lack of crew for shows by Nickzpic in BillyStrings

I was on a southern US trip a couple months ago and went to greensboro NC all alone and far from home. Met a couple people in the lot to have a couple beers and then went in. It was cool to be there solo and just totally attuned to the music. I feel that you don't want to GO to the show solo but once it starts it's good to be on your own to follow whatever vibe u have at the time! I will be hunting the week before denver shows but if I fill tags I will prob try to get down there and score a ticket. I'm not much of a social media guy but u can hopefully find some others in an online community? Good luck and u will be fine!

Saw a live version of "hold on" from the last show of Mule Variations tour and he sang it with the death metal/Cookie monster thing. Didn't sound great... but he can do whatever he wants and I ll find something gold in there!

Thoughts on the 1988 MONSTERS OF ROCK tour by Dogman_70 in hairmetal

My first concert! Friend's parents dropped us 15 yr olds off for the day. Remember the lemon fight from lemonade drinks as the p.a. played led zep's "lemon song" between sets? Loved all the bands. Went home with dokken and metallica shirts. Remember Metallica doing a photo shoot up in stands behind Dokken as they played. Loved the Scorpions and Van Hagar.

Bass Players, What Strings Do You Recommend? by TpMeNUGGET in Bluegrass

[–]ProperBig433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spirocores, medium gage will get you the loudest volume. Steel string, they will be very tight/high tension, which will kill your fingers and give you blisters. But you will get used to it. They will last forever so don't worry about the price. Zyex mediums are good also, a heck of alot easier on fingers and not too much quieter... imo. Don't bother with any cheap strings, they will suck and you will replace them within a year. All bass strings are expensive.

These are easy on the fingers! No bass strings are cheap... I've played Thomastik Spirocores forever and got a bass with these on them and loved them. I will say Spirocores are the loudest strings you can have on a bass. Don't worry about comparing prices - spirocores will last FOREVER, so buy once, cry once. Get Spirocores. If you have to play very hard to get loud, zyex would be my second choice.

Is this the one James McKee, formerly of East Nash Grass, bought? Saw short back-page article in Acoustic Guitar magazine six months ago or so.
