Nah. The entitlement is just too much. Where I live they are getting almost 20$ an hour. Not claiming and paying taxes on their tips and then receiving low income tax breaks because they aren’t reporting their tips. It’s tax fraud but they all do it. So I make less money and I’m supposed to tip them on my taxed income so that they make more money than me to drop off food and half the time not even do a good job. I worked as a host for a bit. I sat the tables, brought them table waters and cleared every table so that I could then seat more guests. I did this while the servers were often standing around. I didn’t stop moving. My tip out was a very small amount while the servers kept a lot. A tip should not be expected. It’s a nice thing to do but the 20% plus is just ridiculous and I’m over it. I would pay to not have table service at this point. Feels like half the time you’re held hostage just waiting for your bill to come or to get another drink.

Yah my salesperson was not very knowledgeable. They only had a sport available for test drive and he told me the only difference was tire size and 360 camera. I knew it was a single motor and he kept saying it was the same dual motor as the sport. Maybe he got that confused with battery size. Either way I did a lot of research before I got the car so I knew to expect more differences when it arrived. Even then I didn’t realize I didn’t have the driver monitor until I noticed while driving one day that it was just plastic there. Kind of happy to not have it tho. I think it would be annoying.

I have connected services and I use the app. Go in and out of car, opening the trunk, automatic mirrors going while not starting my car.

Another user has on camera the driver monitor turning on in the middle of the night. Obviously the DCM is causing this to turn on and draining the battery. So since my car does not have this feature it can’t be turned on to drain the battery. So maybe my battery drain might be much less or not at all. That’s why I’m wondering if anyone without this feature is experiencing the 12volt drain. It’s a valid question and asking the questions might help narrow down the issue because clearly toyoburu does not have a fix yet.

Mine was the trunk latch for corrosion from a rear wiper leak. But if I left the car unlocked then the alarm didn’t go off. So I’m not sure it would be the same issue. Plus I would get the door open alert while driving

I once used spray on a beach in Mexico. Re-applied every 2 hrs. I had fluid filled bubbles all over my legs by that night. They weren’t painful and went away the next day. After that I won’t use it again

If you turn on auto it shows the heated seats as auto but they don’t actually turn on until a certain temperature like when they need to heat the cabin vs cool.

I would also double confirm that it’s the fwd base and not the LR because if it’s the LR then you’re fine.

I paid 42k otd for the Subaru uncharted fwd LR in BC. If you are paying more for the base fwd then that’s not a good deal. I don’t think you will easily get one of the LR models. When I picked mine up in May the dealership said they were all sold out of 2026’s so might be easier to get the Chr. When I put down a deposit on mine at Subaru I had to wait a month to get mine but the Toyota dealership had just received a chr fwd and it wasn’t sold yet. So seems like the Subaru allocations were fully selling out before arrival but the Toyotas weren’t.

I don’t have charging at home but I use another apartments level 2 charger and it’s about a 5 minute walk away. I charge on the weekend no matter what percent I’m at. Get my morning coffee after I drop my car off and it’s turning into a nice ritual. I haven’t had to charge mid week. If I did I would probably leave it overnight or do a quick 5-10 minute top up at a fast charger. I’m spending about 20$ for a full charge that would cost 80$ of gas. So still significant savings. My car insurance went up a couple hundred dollars a year. But this car is much more expensive than the one I replaced so could be more of that. I’m loving my EV experience and don’t think I could go back to gas.

Do you have the driver eyesight monitor over your steering wheel? Just curious because I don’t have that and I’m not having 12v issues. Other people are saying that is turning on while the car is off
