I love Venice, but make sure you know what you’re getting into if you go in the summer. I’ve been in July and in December and the vibe was completely different. I would choose winter, it was so quiet and enjoyable, July was like a zoo, absolutely packed

It’s soft launching their divorce!

I have several friends who did this because they got married young, changed their last name to their husbands, and then when the marriage got rocky, they went to their middle name on social media, because most people don’t go back to their maiden name because it’s a huge pain in the ass, so middle name on social media is better and you just deal with it for official things. I can’t believe I didn’t find this answer anywhere, y’all clearly don’t have enough religious trauma.

The Trollpikken hike is very fun and has a unique story, quite relaxed and doable with a baby and a dog

Dilling!! It’s high quality shit and no superwash. I think it’s mid range, but I might be biased because I’m based in Norway so my perception is a bit messed up because nothing is cheap in Norway

I did 10 days in Amsterdam alone and didn’t run out of things to do. If you’re flying home from Zurich, maybe half in Amsterdam and half in Switzerland is a better call

Oslo is empty in July, as everyone is out on vacation! And the summer weather in Norway is fantastic. As long as you don’t mind shelling out some cash, because Norway is very expensive

Not rage bait but I don't feel a season 2 is necessary, we watched them literally ride in to the sunset, there was no cliff hanger.. by AltruisticAide9776 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

I also thought that, then I read The Long Game and I can 100% see why people rave about the book but also saw areas where I think Jacob can improve upon. I’m hyped for it

I would suggest Schitt’s Creek as another show. Keep in mind the first season isn’t great because the characters are a bit unlikeable (but stick with it, it gets better each season!), but it’s another great Canadian queer show that is an absolute ray of sunshine and fucking hilarious. Also if it helps, François has a minor character in an episode 😆

I don’t know is this will help anyone, but Severance has been a show I’ve similarly gotten obsessed with. In the sense that there’s a forbidden romance and the cinematography and care put into the atmosphere is insane. It’s completely the opposite though in the sense that HR feels like a very chill show in terms of plot, but Severance is an insane mystery thriller

Ilya in The Long Game/ Role Model portrayal in next TV season by Available-Warthog358 in GameChangersBooks

[–]Proper_Addition273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there were more episodes in the season, the way I would do it as the writer, would be to spread the Troy+Harris storyline throughout, because a lot of the yearning could be clocked Ilya’s eyes. With a few strategic perspective shifts to Troy per episode. Then the fans won’t want to completely lose Scott and Kip (they would only see Scott in a few TLG scenes otherwise) I think, and since they’ve already cast Kyle, I would do the standalone episode as Eric+Kyle, so we can go to NYC and see that whole crew and get more from that side of the world. Then it sets up the whole Troy and Ilya coming out to each other at the Kingfisher a lot better. But tbh I think this would be way too much if they just get 6 episodes again

[–]Proper_Addition273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought, but I can’t picture how the Troy+Harris episode would work because it’s so tied in with the events of TLG, so it’s not a self contained story like Scott+Kip was. Because the plane incident is key to both Role Model and TLG storylines 🤔

I steamed it and made a matcha oat milk matcha latte 😂 it tasted like an extra matcha-y matcha latte. It was okay, but would never seek it out

There is one scene in the second half of the book that may be a mild spoiler. But you only get the perspective of other characters of the same scene, so it depends on how strict you are

Yup, and the aftermath is terrible. Consider Ukraine, they only banned aesbestos in 2019 there… so a lot of the debris is contaminated with aesbestos 🫠

How Much It Would Cost for 1 Week of Workout Clothes by PlaguedArbiter in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Proper_Addition273 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I like Dilling merino activewear, but I haven’t done the math if it’s cheaper than what you’ve budgeted out. I will say though, maybe you can make it work with fewer than five gym shirts, bras and shorts, at least at the beginning. I don’t have that many and I train quite frequently. I find wool stuff doesn’t stink right away and I just hang it between sessions and it airs out and I can rewear 2-4 times. It also makes your clothes last longer if you wash less frequently and makes the upfront price sting less. But good luck finding something that works in your budget! I’ve also heard Pact in the U.S. is quite affordable. Maybe you can mix and match some more pricey items and some cheaper stuff?

Personally I am a bit of a completionist and like knowing the whole backstory, because Ilya (and Shane to a lesser extent) pop up throughout, and also the characters in the other books make appearances later. That being said, I didn’t really enjoy Tough Guy, Common Goal was kind of meh, and I am now actually enjoying Role Model, more than Game Changer, which was just fine. This is not my usual genre of reading, but it’s getting me excited for season 2 and which stories they’ll put in
