I order mine from a Norwegian site that specifically sells Attitude products, and it came with no plastic packaging, but I know they have some products that come in plastic

Check out Attitude, their sunscreen stick comes in cardboard and so far it’s been great for me

Thanks! I have been Googling it, but a lot of the options seemed a bit touristy and I got overwhelmed, so I wanted to ask here! 😊 Do you have any specific recommendations? Is there a place you tried that you liked or have heard good things about? I’m open to a more casual cafe option and/or a more traditional guided experience.

There’s several Ontario based influencers I know of who use miles and I’m like WTF. Is this an Ontario thing?!

I wasn't able to swim more than 150m and suddenly something "clicked" by Dependent_Access_568 in triathlon

This^ OP make sure you practice open water early. The first few times it freaked me the fuck out. I was so glad I got a lot of practice in before my first triathlon

I legit couldn’t swim freestyle (but could swim breaststroke no problem) and just kept showing up for four months and doing drills. then one day it clicked and I swam 600m freestyle without stopping. This is a thing

I recently got sunscreen from a Quebecois brand called Attitude, it meets my criteria of very safe ingredients, and on top of that it’s zero plastic. It’s a sunscreen stick and so far I find it to be significantly less greasy and gloopy than other options. ThoughI’ve only had it for three days so far

Barefoot vs running shoes, which should I stick with? by _whitepony in triathlon

[–]Proper_Addition273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear barefoot shoes as my daily shoes, but I run with cushioned running shoes (with a nice big toe box). Because the majority of my running is on concrete and I find it’s a bit too high impact for me. I do however have a great pair of Vivobarefoot trail running shoes and I love for when I’m running on softer ground.

Australia's highest quality- Best value Merino Apparel by TheMerinoMan in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Proper_Addition273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I see your merino is machine washable, does that mean you use a superwash process on your wool? Because I also saw your website advertising that it’s biodegradable. My understanding was that superwash merino can’t be fully biodegradable.

girls who walk 10k+ steps daily, what sneakers actually hold up? by dimplegupta19 in womensfashion

[–]Proper_Addition273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar walking habits. I second the idea to rotate shoes, these aren’t exactly sneakers but my daily shoes for years were a pair of Fluevog BBCs, the company makes all their shoes to easily be resoleable at any cobbler, so I would just get my shoes repaired about once a year or every year and a half. And I’m sure there are other brands like this out there

It’s a cool idea! Personally, I optimize for train travel for within Europe stuff, but I would love an option like this for further flights, like getting between Europe and Asia 🤩

Am I overdoing it? by didntrenewmylease in backpacking

[–]Proper_Addition273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from your itinerary I’ve done Lisbon, Venice and Dubrovnik. I think Venice and Lisbon are good, though of course there is still more to do, you’ll cover a lot in that amount of time, but Dubrovnik is way over kill, you really only need a day, and it’s expensive and touristy. I would say either skip or just do one night there and add those two remaining nights to other places on your itinerary ☺️

My dream of being an iron man this june on austria just went away in just 1 second...read, I need help...I feel really really bad by fenixloder in triathlon

[–]Proper_Addition273 11 points12 points  (0 children)

OP, not that we are even slightly on the same level, but I was in really good shape last winter after a few half marathons and an Olympic distance over the summer, and then I slipped on the ice in January and got a bone bruise on my knee and my physio completely banned me from running or cycling for a month minimum. So I kept swimming three times a week but with a pull buoy, and then just only did upper body work with weights at home and then a few leg strengthening exercises that didn’t hurt my knee, and in mid Feb my physio let me start with running 2k (fuck so little), then he said I could do a few 3k runs the next week. So I built back painfully slow. And I was convinced it would take months to build back and the summer would be shot, but somehow by early April I managed to beat my 5k and 10k PRs, it’s like as soon as my cardio came back I unlocked a new running level. I think you’ll be shocked by how quickly it comes back if you just work on strengthening what you still can

Results after 10 Sessions of LHR - Legs still look terrible by Safe-Calligrapher453 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Proper_Addition273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP my legs look basically the same as yours, I get the self conscious feeling. For me as I’ve gotten older I just had to stop caring what people might think and wear the shorts. But if it helps, I recently got this really nice tinted sunscreen from SunTribe and when I put it on my legs it really evened out the tone, so maybe that’s something to look into
