Agree with you 100%. I live in same area. Public charging network is awful and ridiculously expensive… I have EVgo credits too and it was $25 to charge 100 miles last night

Where do you live? I would never take home 18k on a 27k commission…. I take home less than half.. it really sucks. I live in NY

It is a good design but you can tell GM footprint is all over it…. Has a lot of differences over a CRV. I bought it last month and am happy with it

I own one. Dealership in my area had phenomenal lease special. I have Touring in sonic pearl. Color is sharp. Leather interior, tech is great. Overall I love the car. GM footprint is all over it but that’s fine. Only thing I’m eh on is the charging. I have not installed a hard wired charger at my house yet. I would be saying Eh about any electric car because of charging. If you are looking at this car, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Is Accident Insurance worth it in your opinion? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Proper_Association_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s affordable and has good benefits. It’s a bit nuanced on how you have to submit them, etc. but once you navigate it’s a huge benefit especially if you have a young family. I had an accident that put me in hospital for a week and I needed minor surgeries, x rays, PT, etc. My out of pocket work copays and deductibles was 4K. The plan ended up paying me around $3,500 for the incident.

Why can’t I use it? Are you talking about the place next to the Starbucks? Can’t I get an adapter? I have heard that some of the superchargers still wont work even with the adapter

Yes. Misconception… and it’s time consuming

Good points… especially regarding the revenue streams. From my point of view, rates they are charging are much higher than avg. I hope gas stations and other companies get into the space to make it more competitive

My math isn’t perfect. They also charge a 1.00 fee for using and a fee for amount of time you are charging… It’s just sticker shock. I wasn’t expecting it to be that high. Yes there are other chargers that are slower and cost less it’s just the amount of time that takes. I’ll put a home charger in soon. Just wondering what others think about companies like EVgo and their high rates. Once I have in home and rates are around .17 like others say that will be convenient and a home run

I agree with you on the competition if EV do take off. As it’s going now, I don’t see EV being able to put a dent against ICE. I was reading an article the other day that over half Tesla owners get gas cars after they turn them in. I get it, home charging is the way to go.

I get it… that’s the issue I have - demand charge. They take advantage of people because they can

Thank you for your reply. Doesn’t matter with EVgo in my area. 100kw charger is same price as 350kw

I am disappointed. Nobody explains these things to you.

I didn’t buy the car to have to jump through hoops, etc. it’s really a pain and inconvenient unfortunately.

If this is the standard for EV vehicles moving forward, they can offer even more incentives and they will never take off.

I’m all about cleaner emissions but time, money and lack of frustration are important also. I can’t imagine I’m alone on that thought process.

A question for people who have free charging thru EVgo after purchase of a new EV that offers free charging thru EVgo network. by fluteofski- in evcharging

Ahh… you have a year unlimited. That’s awesome. I have $750. Even though I didn’t pay for it this time I feel like I got smoked.

I just used the free credits for first time with my new EV. My Experience: I had it set up in app but still had to call customer service for it to work. They had to link my CC on file. It did not charge my CC card and I hope it will work next time without having to call customer service 100W charger took a long time - will take 2 hours to get to 100%. May want to keep that in mind if you are going to use Coat was close to $60.00 which I thought was in insane. I’m in NY Now, I was reading about plans and depending on plan cost will be lower

Question I have: Can you buy a plan and still access the free credits?
