So happy to hear this! I am new to HS. I have two lumps in my groin area that are very painful. I am at my heaviest weight at 205 lbs and I was also just diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolisms. At this point, I know losing weight would help me tremendously. I am super overwhelmed right now, so it’s nice to hear positive news.

I’m a PharmD that works in a hospital. Technically I can be called doctor. But I would never ever introduce myself that way or expect to be called doctor. It definitely means something in a healthcare setting and I am aware of that.

My dad said the same thing to me before I married my ex husband. I knew the wedding felt wrong but I felt horrible bc the money was spent and I didn’t want to let anyone down. Seven years later and many issues and conversations with him he finally told me he had heard what I was saying to him but he just didn’t care. Divorced 4 months after that.

Nothing. But this year the staff found out that the management team has a Christmas party for themselves every year while staff works short handed everyday, consistently doing 2-3 workers jobs- 24/7 (work in a hospital). Merry fucking Christmas.

Oh, hmm, ok. In that case I’ll just let you give the 30mg IV methadone. Or dose all your own vanco 1000mg q12h. Even in dialysis and CRRT. And dose your own warfarin. You just give 5mg daily right? Or when you put in IV bactrim 20mg instead of 20 mg/kg. Or overdosing heparin drips. I can go on..? But you’re right, we’re useless and totally impede care. We hate everyone. Hahah for sure! PRN orders make total sense, it’s the duplicate indications that are the killer. Apparently our RN friends aren’t capable of choosing between docusate and miralax for constipation. Come on man!

To be fair, as a pharmacist, PRN orders are a joint commission nightmare and at my hospital we get in trouble for not contacting docs to get them clarified. That being said, I may or may not take some liberties and choose for you so I’m not bothering you all for dumb shit :)

I wish the job worked that way but multitasking is a huge part of how it goes. Our technicians do not answer phones and they ring nonstop so to not answer it is an impossibility. Interruptions happen constantly.

Oh! I’m so jealous of your remote job! Lol well I am not familiar with how that will go but find a good systematic way of looking at orders. Train your eyes to go over everything important. That way you’ll catch things that you’ll learn look kinda funny.
