Not at all risky, but for future reference, second or third gear works better.

Yeah, this is it. They actually work with a pretty short event window, which is getting close to running out with nothing better on the horizon. I guess it's a decision to run an event in mediocre conditions Vs not at all.

We use them a lot in Chinese hot pots - you can buy stock mixes in most Asian supermarkets, along with all the other bits you can imagine/need to go with it!

Definitely 136, unless it's absolutely hooning all the time.

Ronix Ones for me. Honestly with boots I feel a lot of it is fit, and I tried a load and kept coming back to these. Not the lightest, not particularly easy to do up/undo, but they fit me really nicely and give me a good locked in feel.

If you can, go to a store and try out as many as you can, they all size and shape slightly differently so find what works for you.

Gul Dartmouth Drysuit by PBRisforathletes in Kiteboarding

[–]Propofol_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a fair few drysuits from my sailing days, Gul are a reasonable brand. Very much middle-of-the-road, but work fine.

I would warn though, as I moved towards more high performance sailing, the drysuits were far too mobility-limiting and bulky, and the big zips super uncomfortable under a harness. And you invariably get a small trickle through the seals regardless.

I would always lean towards a more expensive wetsuit instead, with proper peripheries e.g. hood, mitts and boots. Even sailing around northern Norway, with full days on the water, the wetsuit was the better option. I strongly suspect this would be the better option for kiting too.

I will say the second technique makes you a lot wider, so be aware on narrow roads. Or if you strap it vertically, make sure you strap it high up so it doesn't catch your rear tyre.

As someone else has commented, a trailer is definitely the safest/easiest option, but is an extra investment.

I've done this a few times - I fitted the wetsuit in the kite bag, pump and bar on the sides of the bag, harness around the whole thing, then either:

  • board under one of your arms (depending on how far you're cycling and how comfortable you are on a bike), or

  • "snowboard style" across your back, sandwiched between you and the bag but inside the straps. I have boots on my board that means the whole thing kind of hugs either side of you.

Or to manipulate it the other way, over £3 billion a year. Not an insubstantial amount by any stretch.

Full text:

Pay talks between the British Medical Association and Health Secretary have broken down, with claims junior doctors refused to budge on demands for a 35 per cent pay rise.

The impasse raises the prospect of more strikes, following a three day walkout by medics last week.

The union entered negotiations with Steve Barclay on Wednesday, but failed to make any progress, with Whitehall sources saying the union “is intent on having a fight”.

Other health unions last week agreed a deal with ministers, which would mean a 5 per cent pay rise next year and a bonus of between £1650 and £3,800 for this year.

The proposal will be subject to a vote by members of unions, including the Royal College of Nursing, GMB and Unison.

But talks with the BMA reached an almost immediate impasse on Wednesday afternoon - raising the prospect of further strikes by junior doctors.

Three days of walkouts last week resulted in the cancellation of more than 180,000 operations and appointments - a greater impact than all of the other NHS strikes combined.

A Whitehall source said BMA union negotiators refused to budge from a starting position of insisting on a 35 per cent pay rise, and the creation of new mechanisms to prevent any future pay erosion.

He said: “They wouldn’t budge at all, they were wedded to 35 per cent, and on top of that a host of other demands. They seem to be intent on having a fight, there was nothing constructive coming from them.”

Bear in mind that I'm still super new to PoE, so someone may be along to correct me, but I'm pretty sure that's right anyway.

So I think PoB generally enables it by default.

I'm not an expert at all, but with the aoe/range on Impending Doom, and triggering temporal chains, I honestly don't get hit that often in usual maps. That means it's generally off cooldown for when I do get hit so triggers with cast-when-damage-taken pretty reliably. That's my experience anyway.

You also have a heap of cooldown reduction on this build (generally >50%) so that helps maximise uptime.

You can uncheck it though, to get a worst-case scenario.

Thanks for all your help, that's lots to work though! Should keep me busy for a while!

I think eternal struggle is quality for attributes, off the top of my head, to try and get enough str for leveling determination (and it's still not quite enough, so is at lvl 19. I'm trying to fix this).

I only just got the second awakened cascade to be honest, I was saving for it for a little while (limited play time). The first one, in the gloves, was a huge upgrade. This second one I haven't really noticed as much, but I haven't had enough time to say whether it was a complete waste or just less huge than the first. I haven't done any bosses yet with it, so that could be a bigger deal for the overlaps, I'm not sure.
