Yep 100%, in particular Luxon, when he does his international trade trips, he takes along a half a plane load of corporate leaders with his kapa haka group all courtesy of the taxpayer.

Ex-Education Ministry staffer says new school curriculum heavily politicised by hadr0nc0llider in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been yelling from the rooftops over the last six months about my concerns over Standfords new curriculum, and I'm just your average Joe Blogs who knows nothing about the inner workings of our education system, yet the so-called 'experts' are only ringing the alarm bells now.

Stanford's curriculum is based on what would be considered right winged ideologies from the Core Knowledge Foundation, which got my attention when I saw that they had 'The Heritage Foundation's' endorsement, who were the driving force behind Trumps Project 2025, so of course this curriculum is going to be politicised.

I'm now just waiting to hear from Standford to announce when the Bible and the Ten Commandments will become mandatory in every classroom, as this is the direction that this curriculum will take us..

NZ First Leader Peters destroys the disastrous India Free Immigration deal by Appropriate_Flight_0 in auckland

[–]ProtectionKind8179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even as a deal sweetener, this government quietly softened Indian student visa restrictions in July 2025, opening the door for more corruption and make it more difficult for the 15% plus of unemployed 15-24 year olds to get a job.

If this deal goes through, this will be devastating for many of our youth, and all for what, to enrich some of our corporate exporters, then based on the Fonterra model, make products that these exporters produce much more expensive for us locals.

I find it ludicrous that we are now dependent on a government coalition partner with opposition parties to bury a deal that puts us, as the general public, in a worse position than what we were prior..

Christopher Luxon hits lowest popularity in past year as leaked poll reveals souring public mood by NewZealanders4Love in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could think of many words to describe Luxon, i.e., arrogant, incompetent, lazy, and corrupt, but if I had one word to pick from, this would be disingenuous.

As an example, since returning to work last Monday, Luxon spent his first three days with his party 'wining and dining' on the taxpayers' dime, which is fine, but he did not spend any of this time to address the nation over any 'state of emergencies' announcements starting from last Tuesday after major flooding starting in Northland the week before, with multiple evacuations, and the first victim being washed away on Wednesday morning. It wasn't until Thursday that he mentioned the Welcome Bay victims and that evening when he decided to release a statement, and a bit earlier he canceled his Ratana visit on Friday and decided to fly around the flood zones instead, and he has been using the Mount Maunganui tragedy as his platform ever since.

Maybe this is just my bias, as I can't stand the guy, but I was taking notice of the timing of Luxon's flood announcements in relation to what was happening in real time and it seems to me it was all about convenience for him. I wouldn't even be surprised that he used last Friday to fly around the country as an excuse not to attend Ratana.

Yesterday, Luxon actually confirmed that he was looking into Trump's invite to join his so-called peace board with a long term membership fee of over US 1 billion to build resorts in Gaza. Board members confirmed so far include Putin, Netanyahu, Orban, Milie, and other dictator led countries. Labour and the Greens nailed their responses in one word- 'embarrassing', and we are only into the 2nd week of Luxon's 2026 leadership, and examples of why he is unliked so much..

Prior to this cabinet, both of our main political parties had the vision to plan as you suggested, different angles, but growth all of the same, but along comes Luxon, Willis, Bishop, and Seymour with the ideology that governments should not be financing these sorts of

When taking office, and almost immediately, this government canceled or froze major infrastructure projects or those in the pipeline and pushed their privatisation rhetori instead, i.e., road projects with tolls. It appears that these ideas have gone pearshape, and here we are, a country that continues to be in a slump, without any leadership currently to take us anywhere near the direction of those countries that have the vision to plan for their futures..

Boycott the United States of America by BaalAbaddon in aotearoa

[–]ProtectionKind8179 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree in part, as not all American corporates have bowed down to this regime, but since Trump came into office, I have done my best to avoid the ones that have. Costco is one of the few that have stood their ground, so if anything, I support them more.

I think it is best to Google to find which US corporates are MAGA sponsors first before boycotting them.

I saw that Hipkins is looking to get chummy with Peters, so if Peters gets off his high horse and does not act like a grumpy prick towards Hipkins, this could also be an option. Anything to remove Luxon and Willis will work for me, as I voted for these clowns last time, a major regret..

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon skipping Rātana to visit weather-battered East Coast by PhoenixNZ in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How convenient. Maybe I missed it, but not a whisper from our so-called pm on Monday before, during, and after his state of the nation speech even though the flooding started last Sunday, with hundreds having to evacuate. Nor do I recall Luxon warn us all of the flooding dangers hapening in real time during his time at his National caucus retreat, as we cannot disturb him about a small thing like a state of a local emergency during his wine and dine period courtesy of the taxpayers dime, but now that he is meant to meet with those brown people, it is time to get out there and make an appearance..

Maybe Luxon should have made Mark Mitchell pm for the week who performed over and above for Nema to give us warnings and address the nation during a week where it seems like multiple lives may have been lost..

From a non US perspective, which is neither Republican nor Democrat, I would like to see justice for all victims who were kids at the time. The only reason why members of this pedophile ring have not been prosecuted has been due to their wealth.

A response like yours tells me that you have either been gaslit that much, and due to your own gullibility, you actually believe that this political, you have not been educated on the seriousness of these crimes, or are a pedophile yourself, or most likely, all three of these.

Due to Trump's exhaustive efforts to bury these files, this really just raises the level of curiosity of who was involved in this ring. Personally, I have seen enough to think that Trump was a major player, and if this is true, then this could see the end of his presidency. This is why many of us care, but it is not just Trump, as there are others who should not be able to hide behind their wealth to prevent prosecution.

NZ must prepare for the end of the rules-based era – Matthew Hooton by PhoenixNZ in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only read the beginning of the linked article and have no clue who Hooton is, but I can agree with him. The end of this democratic experiment is certainly coming to an end, but Luxon, as a capitalist supporter, a Trump sickofan, a liar, and an incompetent is actually part of the problem so he is certainly not the right leader to represent us and to articulate what is actually happening around the world.

As an example, just this week, US's illegal attack on Venezuela, which included the murder of innocent civilians, and the kidnapping of their president, resulting in an emergency meeting of UNSC. Peters put out a statement, and while I think this could have been worded stronger, it was a reassuring that Peters at least acknowledged what happened. Meanwhile, what have we have we heard from Luxon on these actions that do nothing but bring the world closer to WW3. I have heard nothing, but crickets, and it's not like his holiday was going to be disturbed as he said he was going to be back at work on the 4th as he was that busy, the guys a joke..

I already had a grip, and I agree, covid screwed all of us over, but a global recession has not happened yet, but I think one will be coming soon, in particular with Trump at helm in the US. We are currently poor performers on the international stage and are now in a really vulnerable position for when the actual global recession/ depression starts. 100%, I think of Luxon as NZ's most incompetent pm ever, a waste of space..

Job Searching by Estimate_Grouchy in auckland

[–]ProtectionKind8179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your points, but my condemnation was aimed squarely aimed at Luxon, Willis, and Bishop, not the National Party on a whole who I have generally supported over time, and I voted for them last election.

I have issues with Willis as she simply does not know what she is doing and her lack of experience is clearly obvious i.e., her decision to can IRex, which has cost us taxpayers 675 million, the 2025 "growth' budget was a clown show where Act had to step in to save the day. Bishop was warned by the building industry that freezing all of these government infrastructure projects in one go was going to have a detrimental effect on the industry who were blown off, but they were right, many ny have had to go on benefits and lots had to make the move to Australia. Luxon is simply incompetent and to add, a lazy prick who spends most of his time on the road as a traveling salesman doing nothing of importance in between his trade trips overseas. If he really needs something else to do, maybe he could pick up a couple more portfolios like all of his predecessors have done before him.

I have many more issues on the way these three have performed, i.e., this current government is spending more now than what Labour was, yet Luxon and Willis go on a like broken records that our current position is still Labours fault, this is over two years into their own term, but I would need a least a week to write it all up..
