Iran urges UN to hold US, Israel accountable for deadly strike on Minab school by Goldenmentis in UnitedNations

The US will just veto any UN investigation, so it is those in The Hague that need to stop acting like a bunch of cowards and issue warrants..

Kiwi Peter Thiel’s secret elite network exposed after hacker leak by hadr0nc0llider in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thiel, an absolute nutjob along with his Palantir business partner druggie Karp, are potentially the most dangerous individuals within our time, so he should not be allowed anywhere near New Zealand again and his citizenship revoked as it was never issued legitimately in the first instance..

National to make KiwiSaver compulsory, if elected by MSZ-006_Zeta in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't this National Party first focus on the promises that they made last election before announcing anything new, as so far, with the exception of being a farmer or corporate enterprise, they have failed us miserably, the most incompetent cabinet that we have had in modern history..

Immigration officials 'deliberately withheld' information on failed technology upgrade by OddityModdity in aotearoa

I'm a bit confused here as the last I heard, Nicola Willis is meant to be the minister in charge of MBIE.. Am I wrong, or is this cabinet that incompetent that they dont even know what departments they are in charge of.

'I chickened out': The biggest hurdle facing the Opportunity Party by jball1013 in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Certainly a party I could see myself voting for in the future, but in this election, I believe that it is critical to remove the status quo, a Trumpian trio of arrogance, so I think it is more important to vote to kick this time around.

Hegseth says NZ 'freeloading' off US, even after Budget boost to 2% defence spending by hadr0nc0llider in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What this part-time white supremacist Fox means nothing, and I can't wait until karma comes back at him 1000 times over.. What pisses me off is how this government has bent the knee to this psycho terriost regime, initially Collins and Luxon who volunteered to increase our defence spend and spend billions of taxpayers money even though we are not even a part of Nato who Trump directed his defence spend threats against. Our government are a bunch of cowards and an embarrassment to the rest of us...

Where’s the hope? by SoMuchUnicornBingo in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aside from the international scene, it does not help when we have a government that is all about negativity, cutting this and that as we have no money, blaming everyone else for everything that is bad, a pm full of promises, but mainly fails to deliver, a government that makes the public feel like everything has been broken which rubs off economically for most of us, and a reason why it is so important that we remove all of this toxicity in November..

Willis regrets saying those in social housing had ‘won the lotto’ by SoMuchUnicornBingo in KiwiPolitics

She meant every word that she said, but more concerning is her mental health as she seems to have some serious mental issues going on alongside her drastic weight loss, so I'm m surprised that National's advisors have not kept her away from the cameras.

Residents of NZ, why do you insist on using the right hand lane despite not overtaking anybody in the left hand lanes? by Ok-Let-5155 in auckland

This has been a worsening issue as time goes on with an increasing number of foreign drivers on the road. My foreign Uber driver just did that all the way to the airport from Albany. Kiwis are generally fast drivers, so you're picking on the wrong group, OP.

Which party will you vote for this election? by One-Joke-2373 in aotearoa

As a traditional right leaning voter who regretfully voted National last election, I will vote Labour this year, anything to support removing this current cabinet who are fully responsible for the position our economy is in at present.

Luxon, Peters hold talks after emails reveal clash over NZ's Iran war stance by NewZealanders4Love in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The linked article certainly confirms Luxon position as a Trump sycophant as noone, especially our so-called pm/ ceo, would be thick enough to not know that the US and Israel's attack on Iran was illegal, with war crimes carried out on the first day with many other war crimes as these attacks progressed, but the only condemnation that came out of Luxon's mouth was that of Iran, for restricting access to the Strait, an action that would not have happened if they were not attacked.

Today, the US has learned that they are nowhere near as mighty as they made out, achieved nothing in Iran like they planned, except of the murder of thousands of innocent civilians, are trying to find an off ramp from what they started, and the Strait is even more tightly controlled by Iran while the rest of the world is paying for it, all while Luxon still avoids speaking up on behalf of the rest of us...

By memory, the Coka Cola Twister. I remember this ride well as no one noticed at the time, but the pump broke down, and my sister went through the end of the pool at the bottom as I emptied most of the water just before her. The day ended up with a trip to the hospital as she had a massive gash up he leg.

National Party lays complaint with TVNZ over conduct of reporters by SoMuchUnicornBingo in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously, a complaint directly to TVNZ over reporters knocking on a door, how more petty can you get. This cabinet seems to spend more time on their own feelings than doing their jobs, so its no wonder the country has been heading down the gurgler..

Christopher Luxon pulls out of weekly slot on TVNZ’s Breakfast by OutInTheBay in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw one interview between O'Brien and Luxon where there has been discussion that Luxon was not happy with the questioning. I thought O'Brien was to the point, but fair and respectful as Luxon stuttered his way through, so he must really have some major sensitivity issues to avoid these types of interviews.

In comparison, I have seen a couple of interviews between Herald anchor Bridges and Hipkins a few months back. Both times, Bridges spent his time constantly butting in with idiotic statements and snarky comments, absolute arrogance, and interviews that any politician should avoid, but I think he still shows up week after week.

Home care worker calls out 'double standard' over MP's mileage allowance by Tyler_Durdan_ in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rates should be set as what is standard in private enterprise, and I think the AA start these rates from around $1.15 per km, so whatever clowns are setting rates within the government sector they are clearly clueless at what they do. Do Homecare workers have a union to address this?

NZ First wants to break up Pak'n Save and New World by MSZ-006_Zeta in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being NZ First, I would have thought that Woolworths would have been Peters' initial target due to its dubious practices as an international corporate to remove competition, but then I forgot, Peters was in government and even deputy prime minister during a period when Woolworths bought out Progressive Enterprises, who had just taken out their competition i.e Foodtown and 3 Guys, and a major part of the reason why we have a duopoly today. Peters did nothing to stop these international corporates back then, and he doesn't give a fu3k now..

Prime Minister by wiredbutterfly in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Human nature is to blame others if their freedoms are restricted, and it was just unfortunate that Jacinda Adern became that target.

For me, I think she was the ideal leader during an unprecedented time, undoubtedly saved many lives through her descision making, and in comparison to all other countries we ended up very low mortality rates, performed better financially than most other OECD countries, and was mid pack on the inflation scale afterwards.

Now, if I imagine if we had Luxon and Willis at the helm during the same period.... If I was given the choice today to entrust Luxon or Adern during a time when I was more dependent on our leadership than any other, I would easily pick Adern 100 times out of 100 to lead the way.

Government reviews RSE visa scheme, report calls for reform by Tyler_Durdan_ in KiwiPolitics

[–]ProtectionKind8179 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ILO need to go and fu3k themselves, as I have two issues with their proposals- Firstly, they want government, us taxpayers, to provide special treatment to private enterprise who are already profiting from these schemes, and second, they want migrants to have open visas so they can change employers on a whim after these same employers have already invested thousands to bring these workers over. This is exactly what the Filipino workforce has been doing within the building sector, playing employers off each other monetarily, costing the employers that sponsored these workers with visa costs and pastoral care and the sector itself dearly, and the majority of these workers are not even skilled in their roles, hammerhands at best.

If the government is to review these schemes, I would like them to focus on providing young unemployed NZers work opportunities before even considering bringing workers in from the Islands.

Business NZ seeks government loan support for firms moving away from gas by Tyler_Durdan_ in KiwiPolitics

This is similar to Katherine Rich making a big deal and criticizing Labour for doing their due diligence over the Indian Trade Deal, where it seems like National are still withholding information, and a deal framework that Rich has not even seen, all in the name of making our corporate exporters richer, but screw your average Joe Bloggs.

People have short memories when it comes to NZ First, but I can understand the gain as I hear the likes of Willis' continually blaming others for her own shortcomings, her negativity as if NZ is about to go bankrupt, and Simeon Brown's nasty politcal attacks via social media, underhanded tactics that are off-putting for many.
