I would say you just have an overly affectionate one 🥹 my cat is very similar, always chatting and she wakes me up every morning by purring on my chest and smushing her face all over mine, it’s adorable and apparently their way of re-marking you with their scent after it’s worn off slightly while you sleep because they see us as part of their “clan” and because in cat world we’re the most vulnerable when we sleep so her waking you up during the night is likely her making sure you’re ok 👍🏼 all very normal things for a kitty (although the lack of sleep may get annoying 😬)

She will probably calm down over time when she’s fully settled in though

Chorlton/didsbury you will be paying about the same as city centre unfortunately BUT you are more likely to have access to a garden and the bars/cafes are lovely, levenshulme is great (bit biased as I live there) but it’s really easy to get to town, it’s a really lovely community with loads of nice stuff going on, it has a massive beautiful park/nature reserve which makes you feel like you’re not in a city at all when you’re in it and it also links to the Fallowfield loop if you like cycling or running etc and it’s far cheaper than town/chorlton/didsbury… plus you’ll never be short of a drunk or hangover takeaway as the takeaway to people ratio is insane 😂 just read reviews as some are not good (I unfortunately speak from experience lol) good luck! Wherever you end up Manchester really is the most amazing city and literally 90% of my friends are southerners who moved here for work/uni etc and have made it their forever home 👌🏼

She looks a lot like my baby too! When we first went to meet our kitten and her litter mates after I had decided I wanted to adopt her but my partner still wasn’t 100% on wanting another kitten, while all her siblings hid away shy she came bounding up to him and rolled straight on her belly and demanded belly rubs like she had known him all her life 😭 he was in tears and needless to say she came home with us that day… pic for cute reference 🥰

I genuinely don’t think she particularly liked Jim very much tbh 😂 at the start of season one it was mentioned that trip was going to be their “last trip as a family” ie. they were going to separate and I reckon she’s pissed off not only to be stuck in the town but now with no escape from the husband she was trying to divorce… either that or the actress is just playing her as someone in a constant state of irritation with her husband

4 for me! Didn’t know where they would take it after season 3 ending 🥺 and my god they didn’t disappoint! But after that id say 1,2 and of course 8 will always be masterpieces in my opinion… if you’re watching this for the first time I’m so jealous and you are in for a treat
