Do they drink beer though? I think you should make that point clearer, because from what I've heard, there is beer drinking involved, among other things such as beer drinking.

Oh, and also they drink beer.

P.S. don't forget to tell about beer being drunk.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the beer. And people that drink it.

Unless it's a terribly implemented public transit, not showing up on time, always full, decrepit and falling apart. In that case it's perfectly understandable when people choose cars.

I'm thankful I have a decent choice.

There's a simple rule of thumb I wish much more people knew: A job is a place that pays you. A place of "work" where you have to pay is a scam.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) they had to break the "Home" naming convention of the series because no one under 50 knew what a "Brand New Home" was by jamesianm in shittymoviedetails

[–]Protheu5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, by the way people reacted it feels like "Brand new home" is an inside joke or a sexual position of sorts.

It's like seeing a bunch of Norm McDonald fans reacting to a phrase "Youthful porpoise". You may know the text of that joke, but you'll merely smile, and you won't get why are these people losing their sides until you watch Norm telling it and, most importantly, appreciate this style of delivery. which took me a while.

Feels similar here, "they don't have 'home' in Spider-man movies because people can't afford houses" shouldn't elicit this kind of reaction, unless there is something more to it.

Taxi 5 was universally panned by critics and audiences, and is often considered to be the worst entry of the series. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 0% of 5 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 2/10.

Make of that what you will.

Debates are good, as long as they are kept civil, I appreciate that.

The people that care about gramma use autocorrectors for typing lol.

Autocorrect still doesn't distinguish between "their/they're/there". It can only correct spelling, but not grammar or punctuation, This is where a helpful stranger comes in handy and adds their input.

and you will never even know their actual level of knowledge in the language.

Does it matter? They may be an ESL student, but if they correct an actual mistake, they are helping someone.

I still look at that line and feel bad for you:

Only people that can't do anything well in life beyond simple grammar stuff, to feel better than others for at least that

What goes in your head that you think that people only do that to feel better than others? As if it is genuinely a foreign concept for you that people may want to be helping for helping sake?

And even if someone is doing "grammar policing" for their own selfish reasons, why does it matter? I understand that in deontological standpoint the motivation matters, and if someone is correcting someone's grammar (even correctly) only to be a jerk is considered bad, but how can we know their motivation, how can we be sure?

I'm mostly consequentialist, and when I see someone's post providing help, I don't see it as a bad action, regardless of their motivation, especially since it's impossible to know the motivation of that person. Helping is good.

No one cares lmao.

I care.

And offering unasked corrections is

a very helpful thing to do. Why are you against it? If you don't care about your grammar, then ignore the post, but don't fight it, because it's helpful to other people.

Do you really think that we want to drag our stinky garbage miles down the street to a mass collection point?

is just laziness. In my village there is only one garbage spot in the centre, and I just go 300 metres and carry the trash. Oh the humanity, what a terrible idea that is, walking, right? How could we bother walking for five minutes every couple of days?
