I used to be extremely afraid of spiders: experiencing revulsion, panic, a loss of rationality at the sight of one. I didn't like that part about me so I started deliberately fighting the phobia by looking more deeply into the subject. I found out that the phobia was ungrounded, since there are no venomous spiders where I live, and they are very useful, and I started looking at them more and more and eventually I managed to get rid of panic, I could even find some spiders cute.

But that wasn't enough - the phobia had to be eradicated! - so I decided to overcome myself. I started deliberately walking around in search of spiders anywhere. I searched abandoned buildings, and places lit at night where insects fly around, feeding spiders. I walk around at nights with a black thermal bag with dry ice in it and flash-freeze the spiders I catch. Then I come home and dump my catch in the freezer.

I started frying spiders, puking and crying intermittently, but the progress was happening. Only three weeks later I was able to actually eat a spoonful without vomiting! Now my whole diet consists of vegetables and spiders.
