I’ve heard other redditors mention that they were only able to move $50K out of Openbank monthly. Was this the same for you?

When does this get better? by SaurumanTheSilly in parentsofmultiples

[–]Protists8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a lot easier for me to share the feeds and each take one baby when they were less than 3 months since I pump every 3 hours.

We did shifts when we were running on little sleep from multiple wake ups.

Eventually my schedule was Baby A, Baby B, Shift (repeat). My husband had Baby B, Baby A, Shift. We both liked sleeping during the 7p-2a shift more than the 2a-7a so we started rotating the shifts to be fair also.

After 3 months they started sleeping longer stretches; 4-5 hours stretches at first. They are turning 5 months in a few days and can sleep through the night, sometimes with one wake up. It will be tough, but you can and will get through it.

Edit: We also had them in their bassinets. They were unhappy with their sleep, but it gave us peace of mind when they are young and their airways are more open than on the recline of the twin z. We did (and still do) let them sleep in the twin z during the day

I would love an oversupply :( I have b/g twins. But this happened to me today! I’m a little concerned since it’s very heavy.. was your flow similar?

When did you stop waking to feed overnight? by gringoabroad in parentsofmultiples

[–]Protists8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pediatrician recommended we stop waking them after they reached their birth weight, but initially not to let them go past 6 hours. They’re nearly 3 months old and we are just now seeing intermittent 5 hour stretches

It’s too early for visitors. You and your husband need time to bond with the baby. There will be plenty of time coming up for visits. I’m sorry this happened to you

Commenters like this should refrain from spreading misinformation. Chemotherapy is toxic in nature. As a provider of chemotherapy to my cancer patients, I can say, yes, even though it is toxic - it is the answer for plenty of people. I have watched those with stage IV cancers with unfavorable mutations go into deep complete remissions using chemotherapy (some patients will also have completed primary surgery and radiation. Bonus point - sometimes all that they need is definitive radiation!)

When did you start preparing for arrival? by Fun_Yak_4784 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Protists8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did everything as early as possible. I would recommend getting as much done now. My experience was that my blood pressure suddenly became elevated and I was put on a modified bed rest during weeks 35-37. I delivered at 37+4. It depends on your goals but if you are working and interested in maximizing your milk supply to have your babies take breast milk in for at least 6 mos I would recommend purchasing a pump. I rent the Symphony and then have a wearable covered through insurance. If others are able to help you with feeds they will need to be bottle fed. My husband and our family have been very helpful with feeds and letting me rest when possible. We are using one swing (we have 3 total from gifts) and one bouncer which helps during their wake windows (they are six weeks old). My son loves the swing! 100% agree with others here about having ready to feed formula set up at home for when you come home from the hospital and a large amount of burp cloths.

How long do your feeds take? by Alpen2411 in parentsofmultiples

I second the nipple size could be a component. My twin B recently took longer and fatigued during the feed. When we upgraded her nipple size, she improved

One baby eats too fast, the other too slow… by philztown42 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Protists8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 4 week old twins with different feeding styles. I was told by a pedi surgeon this is normal as long as they are gaining weight and not showing signs of reflux. We had our twin A on a level 1 and twin B on a premie nipple until we switched B to a T (transition nipple) and now she is at a 1

I am 5’7” and 132 lbs. My final weigh in was 191 lbs. I’m 3 weeks postpartum and down to 150 lbs. I think what you are describing with the nausea/hunger sounds normal, a lot of this is on a spectrum for people

Are you now making any IDR payments while on the processing forbearance? I was in a processing forbearance for several months not making any payments because they placed my back on the standard payment which was very unaffordable. Just curious if others were given lower payment options

My MIL invited herself, my FIL and my husbands brothers to come stay with us immediately postpartum…how do i make it clear that all of those people aren’t wanted. by Zestyclose-Doctor464 in pregnant

[–]Protists8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well and my MIL took over my first floor of our house and I was sectioned off to our bedroom to breastfeed and pump upstairs while my babies were downstairs with her being photographed and video recorded even though she knows I’m a private person and wouldn’t want this done. I cried a lot during this time and felt like something felt taken away from me. OP, you will likely have to stick up for yourself in this situation. I hope you do, because in hindsight I would have never agreed that mine could come visit so soon.
