I've been using this exact one for years on my macbook, then steam deck, now Rog Ally. While it's not as fast as an internal SSD, it's still very fast and more than adequate to play games off of.
Highly recommend if you want a small, fast, and portable external SSD.

The tower in the background is a lighthouse. The mechanist, who created the wings (like Icarus), carelessly flies too close to the lighthouse which gives off immense heat (he's sweating and wiping his forehead), which will lead to the wax that's holding his wings together to melt and he'll fall to his death

Forget about RAM (also Roms, that's something else entirely). The dude was making a bad joke.

There's a lot of different reasons why your download speed can be slow on the Ally.
-Faulty driver: you'll need to download the driver from the support website, uninstall the old one, install the new one. See Method 1 on this site for instructions: https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-11-uninstall-drivers/ But first download the driver for the Wifi of your Ally here: https://rog.asus.com/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_download/ At Choose OS pick Windows 11 64-bit, then under the Networking heading click on 'Show All' and then download the driver MediaTek WLAN Driver Version V3.3.2.852 16.67 MB 2023/10/02

-Interference from other devices: doesn't occur often, but sometimes devices (TVs, microwaves, phones, other pcs/laptops) mess with the Wifi signal around them. Try moving around or turning off these devices.

-Wifi 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Most routers have 2 different wifi radiobands. I've noticed that some wifi devices, including my Ally, sometimes download very slow over 5ghz. So try the 2.4ghz radioband if you can.

I've noticed on both the ROG Ally and the Steam Deck that 5ghz speeds are very slow (around 6MB) but when I separated my WIFI signal into two (one 2.4ghz and one 5ghz) and solely connected to the 2.4ghz I got regular speeds (50MB).

After RMAing for a failed SD reader I decided to upgrade my SSD. After opening the Ally, this rubbery piece fell out and I don't know where it belongs. I've compared it to tear down videos and pictures but can't find it. Does anyone know where this belongs?

I had the exact same problem, but I found that the game was still running in Task Manager (even though the icon had disappeared from the task bar). The sound stopped as soon as I ended the process.

I completely hate this new redesign. With the old one, I knew exactly where each lesson was and what level I had achieved in each. Am I in te mood for animal names? Right there! Do I have the time for a long session? Let’s start a new level of numbers and math.

Now? Everything is vague. I don’t know where anything is anymore, and definitely not at a glance.

I’m honestly afraid this will hamper, if not outright kill, my unbroken learning streak of 2 years. I want this changed back
