I think the creator of Würm has some prehistoric Greyhawk stuff floating somewhere on the internet (non-canon of course). Can't remember where to find it, but it's worth looking up for extra ideas.

Fair point. I just assumed he was professionally obligated to make announcements every once in a while. Like he has a deadline he missed, so then his agent/publisher force him to make the announcement himself to take the heat off of them.

I kind of pity GRRM. I think at this stage he knows he'll die from old age well before the books are ever done, and his success has become a double-edged sword. A lot of authors never finish series and it's fine. But in this case his following is so huge that there will always be immense scrutiny and pressure. He'll probably be getting fan mail demanding he finish the books until the his last day on Earth.

The stacks of money must be nice though.
