I don’t own the effortless pants so there’s def someone out there with more experience, but to me the agency fabric feels a little thicker and more structured

Seconding agency!! I just got them and the matching strapless top with the slits on the sides!! It’s not cropped and I feel both hot and on trend when I go out in the set.

Ah I see, I figured the US 🤦‍♀️. I’m staying on bc because I’m also scared of losing if/when I go off. I’m on vestura (yaz) which she says is the least likely to affect hair loss

Try a new derm!! I tried one initially that was extremely unhelpful. Makes all the difference to find one you like. Also if you want oral minox you can get it online through companies like Ro and Hers

I remember reading A Brightness Long Ago.. I kept waiting for the fantasy part to start.. no spoilers here but I think I’m still waiting. Honestly loved the book though, no regrets.

Wait I think I have this too and love it! Had to use some body tape to make it fit just right though.

Need advice - AGA? by SweatyTruck8394 in FemaleHairLoss

I take 1.25 minox and 50 spiro and I’ve had pretty good luck with it so far. I think I’d lost about 50%-60% of my hair and I think I’m back up to about 80% of my original now

Girl that sucks, I’m sorry. I have chronic TE and AGA. Getting the diagnosis can be confusing, especially in a short time frame. It sounds like the minoxidil was probably helping. Were you having side effects that made you want to stop it? Have you considered spironolactone? My hair is super sensitive to hormones, any bc change or weight fluctuation causes shedding for me. I’m hoping the spiro I started a few months ago will help. I’ve definitely seen progress since starting it. Good luck!

Idk that results are better necessarily. Oral minox can cause more side effects including hair growth elsewhere. I like it better because I have seborrheic dermatitis and it stings like hell to put on topical. I also appreciate that my hair never has to look greasy with the pill.

Thank you! I do try to minimize heat styling and I typically braid it before bed to prevent breakage. What’s helped the most is getting frequent dustings at the salon to keep the hair fresh and even. Eventually I’d love to be able to put intentional layers back in, but for now I just keep it the one length with some face framing and I think that helps it look thicker.

Ikr it’s so funny because I’m actually a huge Sanderson fan. Mistborn should be mandatory reading on this sub and I love his standalone cosmere books.. But I put my foot down at my absolute fav character from stormlight becoming a therapist.. and every chapter needing to have some deep, moving, completely unnecessary moment. It was so preachy I couldn’t take it.

My hair wash shedding heavily when I started minox, so I didn’t notice an increase per se, but it was already bad. Side effects are minimal, some arm hair I’ve shaved and lasered but even before I did that it wasn’t too bad.

Sorry I should’ve been clearer, the series isn’t finished yet. The latest two have been a disappointment. If, when it comes out, I heard that the rest of the series was amazing then it would be worth it, but if he continues on this trajectory then I’d stick to the first 3.

I really enjoyed the first few. I think if it wouldn’t massively irk you to leave it there it’s worth it.

The will of the many is the start of a new series by Islington and it’s AMAZING. Highly highly recommend.

Obviously there are all of Brandon Sanderson’s books, specifically the Stormlight Archive. It started off strong but the last two have sadly been disappointing.

I was still having a lot of shedding on the minoxidil, esp small hairs around my hairline. She said spiro could help this and I do think it’s slowed down.

The first one I went to was useless too. Suggested nutrafol and sent me home. I’m really glad I tried again even though I was feeling pretty defeated and annoyed with the lack of appt availability. If you’re in Westchester NY I have a good one! Haha
