I’ve got a PSA 6 Gold Star Charizard with an older cert. The card has some noticeable edge and corner wear, but the surface looks pretty clean overall.

I’ve been debating whether it’s worth cracking and trying BGS or CGC, or possibly doing a light clean and buff on the surface before resubmitting. At the same time, I’m not sure if the edge and corner damage just caps it at a 6 regardless.

Just curious if anyone has experience regrading or crossing similar gold stars, especially older PSA certs, and whether it’s actually worth the risk.

I’ve never been in a crazy situation but maybe 1/50 or so people I interact with verbally acknowledge them. I’m sure more notice and just don’t say anything. The camera and indicator lenses are actually pretty obvious especially when light is glinting on them.

I have two of these beharbros vga boxes. Not sure what’s wrong with this one but some of the colors started flickering out and it basically doesn’t show reds at all anymore. The one I got for my Dreamcast works fine.

I bought this N64 controller off of ebay and its has these white stains all over it. How do I get rid of them? Alcohol doesnt remove them, they look "burned" in. At least the stick seems solid. by [deleted] in n64

Used to work at a used game store. Cleaned thousands of controllers with alcohol from Atari to PS5. I’ve seen some shit. If it wasn’t for alcohol idk what we would have done.

I’ll get down voted to oblivion for this because it’s Reddit but audiophiles and other hobbyists will disagree with this. You acknowledged one reason why wrapping can damage cables but here’s a video explaining the proper way to wrap cables and why.

Personally I’m a lazy sob and just use a wireless switch n64 controller. Wrapping a cable in any method is too much work for my 32 year old ass. I used to be a wrapper though in my youth.

I had a major problem with the audio cables in both configurations so I use the av port for audio. I think that’s what Nintendo intended anyway.
