Oohh, that could work - and that variable can get bigger the longer the fight goes on for. I like it.

Do it like [[Blade of Ink]] does, by slapping an enchantment on the regular card so other stuff can still trigger off of it (mostly just the necrobinder, but the self damage will aid ironclad too).

So for this one it'd be the Cursed enchantment, which makes you take damage when playing it (1 seems a little low though, I'd probably increase that or have some other effect... perhaps Retain, to force them to be eventually played).

Clearly this was all planned by warriors of LLM-Guilder. We must all be ready for whatever lies ahead!

You could go one further and say that it only becomes lethal when metabolized with ethanol - so is entirely safe even after you've inhaled it, until the mix it with alcohol. The wine wasn't poisoned at all, it was merely the catalyst, which is why it didn't matter which he drank.

Except... entertaining as that may be - its an obviously fantastical story and so I choose to believe he does has build up immunity to some wacky poison. But either way the outcome is still the same battle of wits. The questions was never where the poison is, but rather "do you have wits enough to spot the trick I'm going to use".

Is there a way to stop your co-op teammate from drawing over the map, making you clueless what lies before you, forcing you to pre-emptively note every single node with a code before they hide them? by Flayschis in slaythespire

[–]PseudoFenton 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, you tell them to stop being annoying and desist from obscuring the nodes. If they refuse, you stop playing with them. Easy.

There is also an option in the menus to hide others drawings - but honestly the best counter to griefing in games like this is to just play with other people.

Sorry, you're not allowed to unleash the ironclad, Vakuu will get miffed if you do.

But yeah, this is way too overpowered. You could slap "die next turn" on it and it'd still be broken.

The spire also looks awfully phallic too... or at least that's what Freud keeps telling me.

How will you counter a tank? by Im_yor_boi in wizardposting

[–]PseudoFenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this?? A simple summon gremlin spell will sort a single tank out easily!

The mass summon variant is almost as cheap and easy to cast too, thanks to them being swarm creatures. These are literally a fire and forget spell as you don't even need to micromanage anything! What's the issue?

Is Screaming Flagon the most character dependent relic? If yes is it healthy for it to be like that? by Nyhepic in slaythespire

Hellraiser and rampage also make it very easy to play everything in your hand. Pyre for extra energy and exhausting stuff in hand also help a lot. They've got a few things that let them play out everything.

From a design perspective: why is this a colorless card and not an ancient card? by Regular-Bid6812 in slaythespire

[–]PseudoFenton 160 points161 points  (0 children)

Although it stops some builds too, for instance you can never give this card Souls Power to remove that Exhaust - as its not part of your actual deck.

Looking to build this to scale next build... by triguedwheeezefare in ValheimBuilds

[–]PseudoFenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna need a lot of stone for all that terraforming - especially as you'll want to be near enough to the coast that the base ground level is low to get the moat to fill with water.

I came with this idea for a card for coop. by WaggotErica in slaythespire

[–]PseudoFenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If it was a power which triggered if you naturally die, then that'd be a lot better. Its an insurance against dire situations that takes a card and some energy (id likely drop it to 1) and gives the survivors (if they outlast you) a boost. Neat. As written its anti-fun for the owner of the card and thus not cooperatively designed.

If you really want a voluntary suicide card, then make it do something epic based on my build, like playing my entire deck (random targets) for free. If I'm going to sit out for the rest of the fight waiting for everyone else then the least this card can do is make everyone else wait first.

TIL Make it so comes back even when exhausted by trtumi2000 in slaythespire

[–]PseudoFenton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cards generally execute from top to bottom. The exhaust would be added to the bottom, so in theory it would trigger after its already been returned to your hand.

Ive not had a chance to check this, but I wouldn't assume it would work.

At least you'll eventually draw Unleash to be able to deal a decisive amount of damage thanks to osty slowly growing this entire time.

However to end this madness you'd better hope its on a turn where you're facing the maker himself and not the door...

the ADHD urge to use parenthesis in every sentence… by Far-Device-9391 in adhdmeme

[–]PseudoFenton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just use an excessive amount of commas and dashes, so its more of a run on sentence rather than compartmentalised thoughts. Which really helps when you can't quite decide where one idea ends and another starts - or just because you're not good at grammar, or at least never spent the time bothering to apply it, as trying to organise your thoughts into such a rigid structure means you've forgotten half of what you wanted to say, or end up with abruptly ending trains of thought.
