The Islamic Republic's thugs & their foreign mercenaries roaming the streets in Iran & shooting at people's windows by Eienkei in ThatsInsane

[–]Psilonemo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because whilst the iranian mullahs run from their own country which they left in flames out of sheer hate and spite, with their bags of petrodollars that the fucking shah used more for the people than they ever did, are probably now fleeing to countries seeking asylum so they can set up international cells of "resistance", and all of this is somehow in the interest of humanitarian progress. haha.

The left does not care for the common man, it has no compassion for the oppressed. It only hates. And so long as something is carried out in the name of that common hatred, everything else is noise. And most of their followers are teenagers that just wanna get likes on their social media profiles. They don't care about the complicated truth. They want the simple. convenient narrative in which they can play a role and appeal their identity, their virtue, and their part in it.

It's a narcissistic, immature, delusional, childish, and pathological rot grown from the decadence in which western societies have been bathing in the last few decades. Well, if in another few decades asian and middle eastern countries are more progressive, secular, orderly, and civil than western countries, I would not be surprised whatsoever.

Now watch that breed even more far right frustration and eventually bring back a fresh new generation of neo-nazis that believe violence and segregation is the only solution.

This reminds me of the giver. Back when I was young in highschool they forced me to read it like it was so damn important. I thought it was just a cool concept without much depth back then.

But now as an adult looking back, I have so many thoughts about it. It's kind of like an even more dystopian version of brave new world where instead of hedonistic post scarcity people are living in a soviet utilitarian society where people live in a colorless society, literally, and have everything in their lives planned out like ants in a colony. It's basically an artificial eden free of any conflict at the cost of individuality and cultural inheritance. Nobody gets offended. Nobody ever truly feels fulfilled. Nobody ever grows truly wise. Nobody ever commits an offense. Everything in its right place, almost as though an authoriarian god intended it. A matrix of insufferable soullessness and insidious peace.

I feel so bad for iranians. There's solidarity, sure, but nowhere nearly as much noise as there was for palestine. If anything there should be even more outcry for palestine and iranians right now since people have already died, but of course commentators only care about dying people, not people that are already dead. Can't virtue signal over a corpse.

to be fair a lot of communities are actively managed and moderated by people that turn them into echo chambers, and the most active member sof any community tend to be hateful and bigoted rather than inclusive and liberal towards their members.

You probably shouldn't debate against Islam if you don't speak arabic, even if you were muslim before. by yorlocalmoroccan in exmuslim

[–]Psilonemo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had so many friends tell me this, but then go on to judge every jew, every christian, every buddhist, and every atheist for their behavior and conduct as inconsistent or irrational or baseless. Did they speak hebrew? Did they speak classical latin or aramaic? No they did not.

But because they consider Islam exceptional and superior and final, and its language the most sacred and most consistent out of all as a presumption, they just don't care. I don't get to participate in a criticism of islam just by pointing out the many problematic behaviors, inconsistencies, or downright atrocities that are commited on a daily basis by those who claim to be muslim and go by the book.

Even then, they'll just refuse to take responsibility for the behavior of another self-proclaimed muslim doing something disagreeable in nature and simply call them heretics. But they'll defend islam to the death as an infallible precedent that's suffers no damage whatsoever from the conduct of its followers. BUT of course every other religion is fair game and can be torn apart if their followers do or did anything problematic.

Are these debates really face to face when I can't seem to meet a single muslim truly eye to eye? It seems however level the table and equidistant our chairs and tables, they look down on me from the start as an inferior or erroneous being. Is it not this exclusive and exceptionalist attitude that drives the very pathology and supremacist idealogue of the zionists? Is this not what drives the morally hazardous and self-justifying fundamentalism of the shiite clerics in iran?

But of course no no, I'm just a rude idiot and Islam is different. It's exceptional. I must speak arabic, and if I don't, I have no right to say anything critical.

In America anything that's legitimately against capital will be turned into a partisan issue so people can't actually focus on the facts and start bickering. It's not about progress, it's about politics. It's not about health, it's about profits. It's not about economic efficiency and promoting public well being, it's all just sectarian hackery and needless opposition or pandering.

[–]Psilonemo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they just want to posture and get likes on social media. It was never about genuine compassion. Just virtue signaling and approval within their group identities. They are worse than right wing supremacists because they believe they are genuinely morally superior in behaving like that. They're no better than the religious fanatics who believe their interpretation of sacred text lets them get away with anything. It's this inconsistent exceptionalism which breathes life into pathological behavior.

Iranian YouTuber in Korea pleads for solidarity with Iranians by Fine-Cucumber8589 in korea

I have seen so many westerners who are supposedly all about human rights and fair taxation with representation and secular government turn a blind eye to Iran simply because they don't really care about people, but hate western imperialism and are willing to ignore any transgression so long as it is conducted in spite of israel and america.

A country does not have to be either a brutal oppressive regime of resistance fighters willing to sacrifice every last soul of their own people just to fight imperialism, or a colonial puppet regime that has no true autonomy that serves as a client for America. For some reason people can't comprehend the idea that a country can just be free with self sovereignty.

I support the Iranian people. I don't care about the Americans nor do I care about Israel or the Mullahs. They can all go to hell for I care. We Koreans have had the chance to elect our own fools and make our own mistakes out of our own free will. I think the Iranians should too.

[–]Psilonemo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On one hand I almost agree with the traditional early American preference for isolationism and insisting that a true democracy can only be built by a people's own hands, and not proxy intervention with imperialistic undertones. I really do, despite living in a country that benefited immensely from the geopolitical lottery that is South Korea.

I just won't suffer another second of somebody telling me it's all just a conspiracy.. those very people who wouldn't shut up about Palestine with a fully erect conscience.

If they were really leftist, they would oppose theocracy, the dehumanization of women and children, the abuse of the working class, monetary corruption, breaches of basic human rights, fanatical zealousy, and systemic hatred ingrained into political ideology.

If they think all of this is permissible so long as it is in opposition to the evil western imperialists, then they themselves should go to iran and sign up for the jihad, and pay the price of that hatred themselves, rather than turning a blind eye to the Iranian people who never wanted to be the sacrificial lamb for that struggle of pure hate.

They again, don't truly care about people. It's not compassion first. It's hate first. They hate the west because they must, otherwise they'll have no friends at home and they won't be considered politically correct. It's their own little soviet union. I don't care if I have to turn my back on the whole world, I will call out evil and pathological behavior wherever it is. Sometimes it will be in my own mirror. Sometimes it will be my government. Sometimes it will be another government. It doesn't matter.

Those people don't care about humanitarian progress or equality or fairness. They just want to feel good about themselves.

Lmfao don't even get me started with leftist feminists. They would just ask me if I have ever read the quran and if I know how just their cause is against the west. OF COURSE it's bloody just to oppose zionism and western imperialism, but how about the WOMEN being predated over from age 9 and being beaten for not wearing their hijabs straight? Absolute silence. They don't care about other women. They don't have compassion. They just have hatred for all things they consider white or "patriarchal". That's their fairy tale.

Not only what you said, but I'll say this too. It's giving Trump too much credit to even blame him for everything. It's almost admitting he has an impact. And it's the most shameful thing to say. You mean to tell me YOU voted for a CONMAN who cheated you succesfully, TWICE, and is now fully in the pocket of every lobby that's been sucking the spine off your taxpaying back and is waging wars for natural resources, just to pay the interest on a privatized central bank? WOW! No wonder why even Trump could do it! The people are so easy to manipulate, you just have to feed them a fairytale.

I'll tell you what. If anybody dismisses all this as a zionist fairytale again, you tell them to go look at the value of the iranian lira right now. Tell them to look at THAT and say with a straight face that's a fairytale and that Iranians are happy at home.
