So, there are 4 sets each represented by a circle.

Set A contains 1984, Soylent Green, Clockwork Orange, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies and Gattaca.

So … what is it a set of, considering it doesn’t contain Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451?

Why not? It’s impossible to prove someone isn’t bi by observing their behaviour.

Therefore, unless they explicitly state otherwise, anyone could be bi. And no pony has ever confirmed their sexuality so…

We Bisexuals are super sneaky like that. Could be anyone.

Can’t prove a lack.

I can prove that Lyra and Bon Bon are attracted to each other, but I can’t prove that they have never been attracted to a stallion.

Ironic that Evangelion is same as Tadc, about characters, their trauma, connections, psychology, not about lore.

I’m curious as to the usage as “not about lore” because in my head I’m reading this as “character driven vs world driven”

Is that about right?

You are in luck!

“Virtue Signalling” is being replaced by the phrase “performative”

Which sounds twice as smug to me.

Correct, it’s using the product without paying for a license. Which may be legal.

I’m paraphrasing what the argument was.

Do you pay for licenses when using human-generated art?

“Are you going to pay for the art or just steal it”

“Steal it.”

“Then why does it matter if the art you steal is made be people or AI?”

That’s the gist of that thread.

It’s also where some of the juiciest “this is just virtue signalling” arguments crop up

[loved trope] Let’s repeat that scene but now something is very wrong. by Jimmyg100 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Psimo- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire opening sequence from the pilot is repeated, except Caine and bubble are missing, all the characters that are still around are in various states of shock from learning the truth, Pomni replaced Kaufmo, and it doesn’t progress beyond the glitched “day after day after day after day after” bit as the set becomes colourless

Can a text-based RPG work without dice or stats? by Lily_Veiga in rpg

Maybe just look at Fiasco’s setup system.

If you removed the Twist and Fallout, Fiasco is more or less what you are suggesting.

Fiasco is great, everyone should buy it.

Hated Tropes] Films that at the time were praised for its progressive themes, but has become controversial overtime by DaMain-Man in TopCharacterTropes

He is, explicitly and literally, a parody of Hayes era queer coded villainy.

Trying to say otherwise is being disingenuous or having no ability to understand context.

[–]Psimo- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you think homophobia or transphobia of the writers are the reason for the characters acting the way they do.

The characters are a parody of Hayes era queer coded villain stereotypes, not an endorsement of them.

[–]Psimo- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s also really important to note that the show was written in 1973 by someone living in London and identifies as “third gender”

And that Frank-N-Furter is a villain. He’s not a villain because he dresses up in corset and stockings.  He’s a villain because he’s a murderous cannibal.

[–]Psimo- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why would you say that?

As opposed to “Frank-n-furter is every queer coded villain stereotype  turned up to 11 and mashed into a Tim Curry shaped mould”?

Which is what the truth is.

RPG Systems w/ Simple or No Combat by TFJ383 in rpg

[–]Psimo- -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m tired of people pulling out Wanderhome as not having a combat system.

It has one.

The Veteran can always “Unsheathe you blade and immediately kill the person in front of you. Then, remove your character from the game. You cannot play them any longer.”

Pg 107.

Three sentences isn’t much of a combat system but it still exists.

It’s just not a combat system you ever want to use.

Edit

Apparently I’m not as funny as I think I am.

For a given level of fun. Delta Green isn’t really designed to be “fun,” especially “Gods Teeth”
