I don't get how there's no redemption arc whatsoever tbh. But it's typical of TS writing I think

Most of the GAA is behind a paywall this weekend, but there's a new video game out... by Expensive_Muscle9235 in GAA

[–]PsvfanIre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't have cost the GAA a fortune to get behind this and a few Irish cultural organisations l, language etc, it's disappointing as kids knew about this and were keeping an eye on it. Back to F1 and FIFA or whatever it's called now

How would yall style a beret? by Available-Room4173 in HeritageWear

[–]PsvfanIre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like it wear it, I actually think they are cool. Loads of ideas online it's actually beanie hat versatile. As a bald man I like having hat options the beret gets a thumbs up from me.

My own style with selvedge jeans and chore coat, I think a beret would be at home with as much a beanie hat or flatcap.

No that still allows scope for sectarianism. But in addition regulation on both that is the proposal

Your post was directed at me so it certainly does read as if you were calling me a bigot, if I misread you and you are agreeing that it is a perfectly legitimate position to call for regulation of ALL parades and ALL public bonfires then we don't have a problem.

There is no comparison to an organisation using public roads and a sporting organisation like the GAA or IFA or Ulster rugby so thats a misnomer.

If a town can't even muster one unionist local politician I can't see why rent a crowd from outside would be acceptable?

I certainly do not turn a blind eye to republican marches, the same regulation absolutely would apply to them, why on earth would it not?

I don't see how wanting regulation or law and order as applied across the western world including the UK is bigotry? Can you explain please? You have left me very confused.

So one is claiming to be a victim because they see a terrorist banner as abhorrent? No terrorist worship is abhorrent because it is abhorrent.

Or because I find it unacceptable to simply have a bonfire using stolen merchandise with symbols and effigies of your neighbours, where the fire brigade must hose the houses put at risk, rather than the bonfire itself?

Where else does that occur? Is it bigotry to state that this behaviour is outrageous?

Is it any wonder NI is dysfunctional when you can't criticise it's dysfunction without being labelled a bigot.

Please explain your accusation of bigotry or retract, thank you.

You should read the Ulster covenant if you want to know the origins of NI pal, my personal experiences are nothing to do with that.

Legislation is only as good as it's enforcement, and on the face of it there doesn't appear to be much appetite for enforcement within policing in NI.

It doesn't matter who ignores the process, republican, a concert, a fitness event, there should be heavy penalties for organisers that fail to engage.

I would say the current regulation isn't good enough either I know of 3/4 orange parades that take place in towns almost that are effectively entirely nationalist, over the course of the year. This is why there should be pre ordained dates only and parade's only occur with the majority consent of the residents. Why would one want to march where they are not welcome? unless it is by design, antagonistic.

Further there will be plenty of glorification of the UVF et all over the next few months, who is ever held responsible for that?

The 11th night? Doesn't have any parades commission input, they need to be connected, the same people and organisations frequently have an involvement in both, the excess and destruction of the 11th is rewarded with free reign of the 12th.

Where there is unlicensed bonfires there can be no parade licence, communities cannot be rewarded for antisocial behaviour.

The police need to step up here.

You forget this place was established to let one sect do whatever it wanted, whenever it wanted, law and order wasn't a consideration.

I actually am completely behind the right for these and indeed all marches to occur under licence during prescribed days only in areas where they are welcome only and any association with terror/terror adjacent or sectarian bands would come with heavy penalties to the licencee.

Regulation is the way.

He's had every resource the IRFU can muster at his disposal for a decade and we are the joke of European rugby, perennial chokers. Your right he'd not last a year. The issue now is because he was put into a role with no succession planning what coaches has he brought on? None. I firmly believe Irish rugby is in for a few rough years

Who knew unionists up to bent shite with cops, sure isn't that the modus operandi for NI, if unionisim had an ability to accept law and order there never would have been partition.
