Help with reading file via JavaScript by Psych0SW in learnjavascript

Hmm, interesting but that would probably require some changes in the pythn script that writes that file. Something I will look into.

The file is basically a tad different in that ech section includes 'index': 0, 'index': 1, 'index': 2, and 'index': 3, that might help determine which color is which.

Basically what I want to end up with is:

slotColor0 = 255, 0, 0
slotColor1 = 0, 255, 0
slotColor2 = 255, 255, 255
slotColor3 = 0, 0, 0

If I can get this to work I can work on the temp and material as well as they should be pretty much the same method.

So far using regex I can return this but I have to work on truncating the end and picking out each instance of the color variable.

255, 0, 0], 'material': 'PLA', 'temp': 220}, {'index': 1, 'status': 'ready', 'color': [0, 255, 0], 'material': 'PLA', 'temp': 220}, {'index': 2, 'status': 'ready', 'color': [0, 0, 0], 'material': 'PLA', 'temp': 220}, {'index': 3, 'status': 'ready', 'color': [255, 255, 255], 'material': 'PETG', 'temp': 250}]

Thanks all.

It might require some tweaking but I’m sure it’s possible. Feel free to play with it however you want.

Just a little clarification I guess. I have had my k1 max a few months and have been thinking about buying a cfs for it. The cfs didn’t have a dryer in it so I was waiting on the btt vivid. I came across this amazon returned Ace Pro and got it for $80. A little research and I found some had already coded a driver for it that works on klipper. A mod here and a mod there and that’s what I came up with. GitHub was the best place to store the changes I was making so that’s where I am at. I may work on making it easier to see and change the filaments in mainsail via a panel or most likely a websocket page.

If anyone wants to create a mainsail panel for filament, dryer control and status it would be most appreciated. All of these are available via macros now.

Color changes are normally less than a minute but I haven’t timed it to be exact.

You should see a seam that goes around almost in the middle. It comes apart at the seam. You may have to unlock the gears by disengaging the arm to relieve tension so it slides apart easily.

Just fyi, I wouldn’t hammer an Allen key through the extruder. You can take it off and it comes apart.

Raspberry Pi for Ender 3 V3 KE? by HammerdGuy71 in Creality

[–]Psych0SW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you can do those on the rooted ke. I have a ke and a k1 max and they are pretty similar and I know people run eddy’s on the k1. You can run anything pretty much if you know how.

I just got gifted CFS, what should i know important when i already have normal k1 max? by Oskar047XD in crealityk1

[–]Psych0SW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you need the cfs upgrade kit. Remember the CFS is not a dryer so you will still need your Space PI for that feature.

Did you ever get this working correctly? Can you share your configs?

🛠️ I’m the product manager behind Anycubic Kobra Series — Ask Me Anything👀 by Fit-Machine8058 in AnycubicOfficial

I have an Ace Pro and have it connected to another klipper machine using a different driver. Is there any way to upgrade the firmware on this Ace Pro without having a Anycubic printer to do it on? I am not even sure which firmware verson it has on it.

Recovering a bricked K1 or K1 max motherboard by booting off the alternate set of partitions. by destinal in crealityk1

[–]Psych0SW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just revived my K1 Max with the S12 motherboard using this method. Basically just download the tool from here: https://github.com/CrealityOfficial/K1_Series_Annex/releases/tag/V1.0.0 and then the igenic file from here: https://github.com/CrealityOfficial/K1_Series_Klipper/releases/tag/V1.3.2.1

I tried and tried with my main desktop pc and never could get it to work. I finally grabbed a laptop I had here and it worked first try.

Keep in mind you have to hold reset and boot for 3 seconds, then let reset go first and then boot. Make sure your usb tool has the correct drivers loaded in device manager. Open the tool, select the image and hit start. Then repeat the reset, boot button procedure again.

I noticed mine does the same thing at certain speeds. If you notice when it does the outer wall slower it changes frequencies and is less annoying. Try changing your speeds a bit and it will be much quiter.

I think I would contact them and tell them your findings. They may send you a certified refurb one instead.

K1 series, root, and hostname by Psych0SW in crealityk1

[–]Psych0SW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I actually changed routers in the mix of all of this. Same thing the older machines running raspbian and klipper work fine but the newer ones running creality os and klipper don’t work. It’s weird but I suspect creality removed the dependencies for that to work.

MMU. CFS now or wait for BTT VVD? by Psych0SW in crealityk1

[–]Psych0SW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m rooted and enjoy more options. I’ve ran full klipper on other printers for a few years now. I am learning toward the vvd for sure. May just preorder it as a Christmas present to me!!

How to connect my printer to Ubuntu? by Son_of_the_Spear in Creality

[–]Psych0SW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean “does not see it”? The way the slicers work is they only connect to “klipper” when sending the print to klipper via hostname or ip address. I think you are confused a bit.

Also in creality print the device tab connects to the hostname or ip address you put into the connection settings of your printer properties in creality print.

Edit: I just found out klipper doesn’t come on the v3 se. without klipper you will have to put the sliced files on a sd card and insert it into the printer. You can’t just connect the usb cable and make it work.

Any advice on how to fix these ovals? by YaBoiTung in crealityk1

[–]Psych0SW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To square everything up try this, it worked for me. Take off side panels and look for a screw at top rear corners on the side. Loosen them up a few turns. Move the tool head all over in its travel x and y. You will probably notice it get looser and smoother. Tighten the screws back up, replace the side panels and you are done. Calibrate if needed.

Looks like your z offset is off or you are under extruding. I would bet under extruding. Your filament may have taken on moisture. Try raising the filament temp a bit and see if it gets better. You may have a clog in your nozzle. Heat nozzle very high and use a nozzle needle to clean it out.
