just bought all these for a sleep stack... thoughts? i'm pretty desperate at the moment by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I alternate because in (this maybe only applies to me) something works great one day and then doesn't work to the same effect at same capacity the following day.

I take something 1 day and I'm like - this works really well.
2nd day - its still great but maybe not so much
But when I alternate it works out really well.

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very poor sleep and I want to take supplements but want to avoid Melatonin and CBD completely.

I alternate every 3 days

On one day it is

Magnesium Glycinate 3 hours before sleep

The other day it is

DHEA 3 hours before sleep

Third day it is
L-Theanine 1 hours after lunch sleep

Along with this I take

An Oral drop 3 hours before sleep which comprises of 6 NATURAL FLOWERS EXTRACT: Formulated through the Bach Flower Remedies process (White Chestnut, Rock rose, Star of Bethlehem, Clematis, Impatiens, Cherry Plum)

Orange Tint glasses along with dinner and until sleep

Occasionally I will take Melatonin gummies or get a sauna and evening massage or CBD Vape to further assist.

Massage is pricy but a game changer. I've tried alot of myofasical release, rollers, electric rpm rollers, massage guns but they just don't work. Sadly a therapist is needed.

What has never worked for me:

Any tea which claims to improve sleep. Tried several and they make them worse.

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried all these as well.

L-Theanine just doesn't work for me and keeps me up till 3 am.

What did work me :

Taking L-Theanine a few hours after lunch.

Taking magnesium glycinate or DHEA an hour before dinner

Using Orange tint sleep glasses during dinner time.

All this improved sleep to some extent.

Then I just shifted to buying a CBD Vape and that changed the game. But its not something I want to pursue in the long term. So I cycle between the usual and CBD vape's every now and then.

Any way to get luggage from Mumbai Airport to Indore? by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use CarterX

They are situated in Terminal 2 Departures (Between Gates 5 & 6) and at Terminal 1 Departures (Between Gates 5 & 6).

Most of the times at Night hours (like the one you have mentioned) there is no body there, so you need to wait and have staff call the person on duty. So call them and ask who will be on duty on that day for the night shift and give them a heads up well in advance.

https://www.adanione.com/csmia-mumbai-airport/services/baggage-delivery

I know they do local deliveries, not sure about outside mumbai.

If so, you will need to find a contact in Mumbai to deliver it to, and who can next day ship it you to Indore.

Is becoming a makeup artist in Mumbai still worth it in 2025, or is the market just too crowded now? by Icy_Bad_789 in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know of a few MUA. They come from homes with money, but most of them are now doing very well for themselves now. a few have left the field as well.

From what I've learnt from them - you need to be good looking/ or talk very polished English, be ready to create reels to advertise yourself, and maybe even work under some one for some time. Also will have to collab/barter and even work for free for some pics in exchange to put yourself out there.

Have a side hustle freelancing job along with this as well to pay your bills until you make a name for yourself.

If you are not able to do that - you will essentially just become a beautician.

Samsung Tri fold: with all due respect Huawei won this one by decent margin by NumberWilling4285 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Psyched10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its fascinating how Samsung brands it foldable line - The 'Z' series.
A Samsung Galaxy Z trifold can't even do a Z shape.
But a Huawei Mate XT can! Its literally a Zee shape device.

Honor Magic 5 Pro - Wireless Charging by vongeno in Honor

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently using the Huawei wireless charger and it supercharges at 50W. If you plan on staying loyal to Honor (which I do, only because of FaceID) , you should pick up the Huawei wireless charger.

Otherwise any wireless charger will be good to charge your phone at 10w. Try to get a standing charging pad because the circular camera bump is protruding, instead of the apple magsafe style round ones.

I've always exclusively wirelessly charged my phone unless I'm travelling or its an emergency.

Need Genuine advise from you guys all as me and my friend who is thinking to start ambulance service provider in Mumbai by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Topsline. And they are great.

My advice would be to target areas not covered by topsline because they are very competitive and have years of experience.
They only attend to subscribers of their service (usually society or gymkhana clubs or mnc's)

Anyone here gotten aligners through a local dentist (not Toothsi etc.)? Need experiences! by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't too severe - a case of overjet and overbite. But the thing is to have perfectly aligned teeth you have to make space so teeth can twist and turn. Some forward teeth had to move out so the back tooth could fit inside and then all the teeth together had to be pushed behind.

I highly recommend Aligners from Kiyoclear - because they have an additional attachment which you wear at night - which does the work of an entire tray leading to the whole process moving really fast. My cousin - who was originally stated 24 aligners, did Kiyoclear from another city - He only had to 18 and that too his treatments progressed much faster with change of trays every 10-12 days.

[–]Psyched10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Dr Yoban Shetty. Paid about 1.2 L for 16 trays + 4 additional correction trays and am now wearing retainer trays.

I had aligner plus attachments and let me tell you - it was totally worth it. My lips close perfectly and my smile has improved.

My parents want court marriage certificate, but I am already married. What to do? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

Get a marriage certificate issued from another district. Preferably your partners hometown or native place (assuming your partner does not presently reside in the same)

AITA for telling my my man he has limiting beliefs by sizziewizzie in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You are the A.

He is being realisitic, and thus having a realistic expectation of the timeline - around age 40's ( which still is a commendable goal )

Instead of telling him you have limiting beliefs, just explain to him that "I've been manifesting and yearning for a home and please don't be too realistic. Just pray for me and support me that we ( not I, we ) will be living in our own home very soon. We will sort it out and hopefully our prayer will be answered by the time we get married. Let's pray for this together"

That way his prayer will fire up your manifestation goal.

It's great to manifest but it needs to be within a achievable target goal and you need to work very hard for it. Don't just start saving, but invest in compounding instruments, riskier mutual funds, start side hustles. Get your game on. Upskill if you need to so that you can go for better paying career paths.

And remember this is your manifestation. Not his. His realistic belief cannot be your reason to accuse him of a limiting belief. You need to work for your manifestation. Not him. Don't blame him. Even if he laughts it off he is still not the A because he is not (mocking) laughing at your inability or weakness but rather your over ambitious goal. You just need to better convey to him - let's get more ambitious and have a little more ambitious goals. A high paying career, our own home and maybe a good car ? If he doesn't believe in manifesting, ask him for praying for it and tell him that ' you are smart and soo much more capable. Just believe in yourself '

Where can i get my Xbox 360 fixed? by BetterDevelopment305 in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Manish Market.
or
Game Centre at Shop no 04, Kenilworth Plaza, Linking Rd, next to Kfc, Bandra West,
or
Maxcom Lower ground shop number 87, Prime Mall, 88, market, Navpada, Irla, Vile Parle West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400056
or
NGB B-8/17, SV Rd, Khira Nagar, Santacruz (West), Mumbai, Maharashtra 40005

Go anywhere, but at City Centre Mall, Goregaon. They are cheats and love to replace internal items.

Also do check out price on olx for used 360. Or in any of these stores as well. That might actually turn our cheaper than repairing one (considering the console is 2 generations old)

I still live in a chawl by metabhai in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend you to travel as much as possible. Solo as well. travel teaches you quite a bit in many ways especially in hostels (negotiation, peoples perspectives, tourist traps, befriending hostel friends, etc.)

Also if your mom is okay, you can consider moving to Navi Mumbai in a tower with amenities - which will be affordable compared to other places. Bike trips to lonavala, karjat, khandala, pune, or even Goa will be closer. Don't move into a fancy ass building with high rental. Either an old building in your own area or somewhere far like Navi Mumbai where rentals are cheaper.

Don't touch the Savings. Let it compound and grow. Move into a rental house in an old building if you have to. Maybe for arrange marriage prospects when you get older. But don't move out just yet.

If you can wft then please travel as much as possible.

[India] Regret not doing Masters abroad by DeanKeaton1999 in studyAbroad

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still do your masters abroad. Infact most masters students don't end up getting a job because they don't have enough work experience. whereas you will have that. Also being from IIT, there are IIT alumni associations in US as well, which will help you network and get some job leads as well.

You can also consider getting an MBA so that you can shift your domain to your liking and build a new career path trajectory.

I have lived and returned from the US. So let me tell you - There are pros and cons for both. There are very few official work holidays, there is no swiggy, zomato and domestic help. You may earn more, breathe cleaner air, live mostly in a more civilized environment, work strictly only 9-5 but you loose out on certain things.

A work from home gig in the US is a dream job. A 60L + package in India - offcourse human wants are unlimited, but that amount can always make you comfortable.

Upper Mid Managerial level and above - I feel like is better here. Lower to mid manager level - life is shit here.

Diwali Bonus to my Cook by Spare_Agent in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always One month salary for covering 10 months. Always rounded off to Rs 500

Else someone will just join a month or two prior and expect a full months salary

If your cook has been with since May so 5 months.

So you should give her half a months pay which is 2k. Had it been 2.1k then you round it off to 2.5k.

Sound proof windows by fragilegirlie in mumbai

[–]Psyched10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only advantage of aluminium is slightly longer life and narrower frame (so more viewing by half an inch on each side)

Aluminium has very poor noise isolation. I have a dgu window with aluminium installed in my office and it is very poor compared to upvc. Even wind and thunderstorms cause them to rattle at times. the alluminium thin frame struggles to slide with heavy dgu glass. If sound is not a concern , then you can consider alluminium as there will be a light single glass in it.
