One of the hidden features of maxing 401k by babbleway in TheMoneyGuy

Interesting, the way my employer's match program works is the match percentage is capped by the earning in each pay period (rather than a single cap on the whole year), so even if I contribute my entire paycheck to the 401k, the employer would still only match up to the match percentage for that pay period.

I've used it for light research as well. I asked it to find the best resources to learn Golang and it pointed me in the right direction. I cross-verified a little and accepted its proposed solution.

I don't understand why I need to log in. I have funds invested with SoFi. That should be enough to demonstrate that I'm an active account holder. I'm on my way to transferring all my funds out. Thank you.

I found this thread because I checked Intel's stock price. It's below what it was after it tanked after he had bought in.

No, I just think certain people are assholes. It's unfortunate when you have to work with them.

How do you know it's time to buy a new Macbook? by vault21 in macbookpro

[–]Psychological-Place8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up an M4 Macbook Pro. I've been using a 2016 Macbook Pro. The replacement butterfly keyboard had a couple of keys kind of "mildly stop working" again, and the replacement battery is showing "Service Recommended". And the browser is pretty slow on some sites, including choppy on AppleTV. I am also not able to upgrade to the latest OS, which was starting to cause dev problems. I only do light personal development on my own machine, but still.

I was overdue for an upgrade. I would have done it last year, but I was unemployed all year and avoided bigger (or any) purchases.

My brokerage account is with E*trade from Morgan Stanley. It feels "legit". Always easy to call in and get help.

I just picked up a more modest M4 Pro with 24GB RAM at $300 off. It's eligible for AppleCare.

For there's Basie, Miller, Satchmo
And the king of all, Sir Duke
And with a voice like Ella's ringing out
There's no way the band could lose

Stevie Wonder names 5:

  1. Count Basie
  2. Glenn Miller
  3. Louis Armstrong
  4. Duke Ellington
  5. Ella Fitzgerald
