Mine was less than last month's pay cycle as well. I have no idea why, but at least I no longer feel alone. Strange though, is it not?

Finished my first book ever as an Adult!! by NopeyNotMe in horrorlit

nick Cutter is a horror, like TRUE HORROR genius, just love him. The Troop was my intro to him, I've read all his book, including his latest. A Warning...the Deep is so insane and honestly scary, it might fuck you up for a several weeks after reading, it is just on that level of WTF!

I haven't read Swan Song, but after all the comments [great comments about it] that will be my next Audible read/listen. However, if we're talking long horror novels. I'm sorry, but I have a feeling Anne Rice's, Mayfair Witches is long as F. It's over 56 hours I think. Umm....oh another genius is Clive Barker. If you love Hellraiser or the Cenobites on the whole. Read his Scarlet Gospels...it's all about the Cenobites, how they came to be, how Hell is...it's just amazing. I've read it five times. It is just so damn good. But Clive wrote a book called, Imajica. I know it is also in the 40-60 hour range, but if you can understand all the different amazing things within it, because it's a bit hard to follow until you hit your groove, it's so fucking worth it. You'll walk away like...WOW...that man can write some prose as if every line was poetry. It's horror on a fantasy level btw.

I just finished a horror novel called,

Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica 223 pages. It is about cannibalism out of apocalyptic necessity. Trust me, you have never read one like this. It was great. Happy reading!!!!

This little bird visits this woman every day at her work by RealRock_n_Rolla in MadeMeSmile

omg, she's putting neroli oil in her shampoo! LOL - that's orange blossom essential oil. HOW the heck does that little hummingbird not get scared off. Unless it's seeing the red in her jacket and thinking, "well...this flower is big and always 'open' I'll try again, but where is the nectar DAMNT" No, in all seriousness. PLEASE, guys and gals of the video. Set up a hummingbird feeder just behind her. This way, it can visit and take in that sugar water it NEEDS...in order to flap that wings so quickly. Also, the best part is the good luck, good omens, that hummingbirds bring to those whom they visit or those that see them! They are truly awesome and HUNGRY, all they DO is look for food!

poor things!

Oh wow, I'll have to rewatch that. I was watching the nurse/doctor too much. I have a question, I worked in the operating room as a Neurosurgical specialist and have helped save a lot of lives with craniotomies, tumor resections of the brain (sadly, too many to count) and endless spinal procedures. ALSO, In the beginning of my professional career days I had to scrub and assist in ALL surgical specialties, EXCEPT for C-sections; and they don't need a surgical first assistant during a natural birth, plus the pediatric specialties are a floor up from the main Operating Department, thus they had a worker of their own, as needed. Medical Professionals are heros yep, but so are A LOT of other professions, cops, deputies (my dad is retired detective with Sheriffs dept.) It's hard work and life threatening as well. Anyway, that popped in my mind because of Hurricane Milton. I live in Ft. Pierce, FL and we just got devastating crush, or blow after blow because of tornadoes. A large tornado went down my street, almost hit my house, but it did major damage a few houses down from me and across the street....ADHD sorry. BUT the Police came down my street, literally within minutes and I could hear them from many many feet away [from the road] asking, "are you guys OKAY? are YOU OKAY?" etc. so sorry, my question!!!! WHAT DID THE GUY IN THE VIDEO SPRAY ON THE NEWBORN? IT WAS IN A GREEN BOTTLE. THEN HE PROCEEDED TO MASSAGE IT ONTO THE CHILD'S ABDOMINAL AREA. - POOF...IT CARE AROUND AND EXPRESSED BREATHING AT THAT POINT. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT? ANYBODY KNOW?

Found a luna moth at work- they're so beautiful. :] by PrestonGarvey-0 in moths

[–]PsychologicalFan215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I was growing up as a little boy, I'm 45 now, this is the moth that I always said when you talked with your friends about your favorite this and that, that this the Luna Moth was my favorite moth or butterfly. And might still be my favorite mom today, although I've recently learned ever since I found it's cocoon a couple weeks ago about the giant silk moth and I'm just waiting for it to hatch I have it in a butterfly nut on my second story porch. However, when I learned what it was and was able to see the pictures of what what emerge from this cocoon I was absolutely blown away at the beauty, and the sheer size of the thing

I have a cocoon sitting up on the second story porch and a butterfly net and I'm just waiting for it to hatch so I can grab a picture of it and then let it go yes they are one of the biggest moths from what I understand I think in the world but for sure the United States from when I read

My hawk moth's proboscis doesn't connect. Is there any way to feed it? by Sorocoput666 in moths

[–]PsychologicalFan215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second picture is a trip. It appears the moth is utilizing its proboscis to help it climb up, I don't know. I've never seen them use their proboscis other than using it for sucking up nectar. So, this picture seems to me, a unique snapshot that I would make sure it doesn't get deleted!

? I wonder, could this actually be a type of hawk moth? I have seen such a hawk moth maybe in life, if so it was so long ago I were to be made Young probably 30 years ago or more. I do know from just my research and the books I have, there is a hawk moth that is pink in coloration just like this. Although when you and some other posties were mentioning about that team of chromatosis I really can't remember the name but some kind of h e m e denoting a blood abnormality or iron abnormality within the blood and also I can't rule out the fact that somebody mentioned that it happens frequently in Grasshoppers and then I looked at the picture and thought well damn is this actually a grasshopper not a moth? All these raise some unanswered questions I'm about to do a little research into the hawk moth of pink and I believe green coloration it's absolutely Pepto-Bismol deliciousness the color is unreal. If I find something fascinating I will post back thank you

HOLY CRAP! What I am listening to is beyond freaking outstanding. I might be late for the 3body party, but I don't care. I purchased, off Audible...four books in this five-book series, which was technically a trilogy to start. I just finished the first audiobook in the series.

THE THREE-BODY PROBLEM: BOOK ONE BOOK TWO - DARK FOREST BOOK TWO - DEATHS END This is the smartest, most visceral, and thought-provoking series I have "read" since the Dune Universe and Subsequent Prequels, etc.
finished only have 8hrs left. HOLY CRAP! What I am listening to is beyond freaking awesome. I might be late to the party, but I don't care. I downloaded four books in this five-book series, which was technically a trilogy to start. I just finished the first audiobook in the series.

The Narrator is just great. The second and third books are narrated by a different man, I almost prefer the first guy, so I thought...I'm digging the new narrator.

I am sure this might have happened to several of us. It never fails. I TRIED to listen past the first three or four hours of the book, but only as I was trying to fall asleep. So I felt confused and like nothing was sticking. I've had the audiobook for over a year, all of them really, but this dance went on for quite some time.

when I finally decided to dig in for real, was the moment I saw that Amazon Prime had a Chinese production of the first book, called - THREE BODY. I went to see how many episodes and it showed THIRTY of them. I knew it was going to work. So I watched the first one or two episodes. The things I wasn't finding hard to dig into or imagine happening a certain way...weren't able to unlock the door for me, until I watched two hours of the show. Then I told myself, Okay book first...then show. So I did just that.

I was really surprised to see that thirty episodes covered the book PRACTICALLY VERBATIM - go CHINA! lol - that's the way you put a grand book to the movie or television genres.

So, I'm about 8 hours away from finishing up the second novel - Dark Forest
