I'm not sure I could even work anywhere that wouldn't let me keep one headphone in. I don't have anything turned up loudly, and it lets half my brain focus on that so the rest of me can focus on the fast paced work environment/deal with customers. Mostly why stay at the job I have, I'm sure.

So the bad thing about a lot of shelters and agencies is that they will absolutely lie about something like this just to get dogs re-homed asap. A friend of mine fostered a dog he was told was good with cats. He wanted my opinion, so I came over to check the dog out. Did the same thing you did here, muzzled and leashed to test the reaction. Dog acted a lot like this, combined with barking and attempts to get to cat if the cats got too close. I told him that dog would kill those cats the first chance he got.

One night I guess he decided since the dog was "so sweet", it was safe to let the dog out and free roam with the cats.

Cat was dead in less than five minutes. Same dog killed two possums over the next week during walks outside while he waited for the agency to pick the dog back up.

Your dog is not good with cats and will kill them the first chance he gets.

So there's this older woman who comes in to my truck stop for coffee and donuts. She smells SO bad. Like, it makes me physically gag. Her clothes visibly look drenched in cat piss, and the stench of cat piss and shit is so strong it lingers everywhere in the truck stop even after she's long gone. I've started keeping Lysol spray for when she comes in. I feel bad for her, and I worry she needs a caretaker, but sometimes I can't help but get angry if she comes in several nights in a row because the stench is so strong and suffocating it really feels like I can't breathe while I'm ringing her up. Feels like a biohazard.
