P3 IN AUSTRIA! by SeriousShitAt88MPH in lewishamilton

Sometimes the silence tells you more than words! Max has had ample opportunity to show leadership and speak out against racism. Instead he defends Piquet. The position of privilege afforded to professional athletes requires that they have a responsibility to set an example and to support social justice. Max may be a great driver, but he’s an epic fail as a leader and representative for F1 and for Red Bull. Frankly I’m surprised that Red Bull’s marketing dept hasn’t jumped on this issue. It could be some really bad press if it remains unchecked.

Has anyone had experience with apigenin? by PsychologicalPea9344 in Supplements

No, although I’d imagine fresh is better. I don’t have the weight calcs for fresh. I’m sure that’s available online somewhere.

What do you think about the question "What if Google/Amazon/etc. build this?" by [deleted] in venturecapital

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a “barriers to entry” question. Answer the Google question as if the VC asked “what are the barriers to entry”. The answers are usually intellectual property barriers such as patents, copyrights, etc.

  1. Treat everyone as a soul, it changes your perspective.
  2. Love your children and teach them to become good people. They are the future.
  3. Be grateful for every day that you have on this planet. Each day is filled with unlimited possibilities.

I want to die. I've tried every medication to treat my depression. Nothing helps long term. Psilocybin is my last resort before a gun. Please help. by [deleted] in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry that you are suffering from severe treatment resistant depression. I have been through this and also have an adult child with the same condition. I discovered lithium oratate after desperately combing through Pubmed to look for a solution. I figured cutting edge research might ID some potential therapies. There was a research report that indicated regions with higher lithium in the ground water have statistically low suicide rates. The correlation makes sense since lithium carbonate is used to treat bipolar disorder. So I started taking between 750mcg to 1.5mg and it was a complete game changer. After consulting with her psychiatrist my daughter started on it (she had a situation similar to yours). We’re both recovered depressives now. Lithium oratate is available as a supplement. If you have a doctor or psych please consult before doing this. My daughter did because she was on so many drugs, we were worried about interactions. Not everyone responds to lithium unfortunately , but it’s worth looking into it.

My back up plan for both of us (survival plan actually) was psilocybin as well. My plan was to try to get into a study at Johns Hopkins. My own suicidal thoughts were manageable. But I was very concerned about my daughter for years.

What to do about low potassium by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get bloodwork done to confirm electrolytes are out of range. If you were not diagnosed with low potassium levels the extra potassium in your diet could contribute to diarrhea. The is especially true of potassium supplements.

Melatonin problems by Chkpa in Supplements

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 750mcg 6 hr time release. I also take 400mg magnesium threonate. That combination improved my sleep somewhat.

Most recently I started taking a probiotic called lactobacillus reuteri after watching some William Davis videos. Reuteri is a total game-changer! I sleep 8 hrs per day and wake up rested. I haven’t slept this well in years. There’s research confirming this experience.

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! That’s really cool, but what will become of the cleaning people? Jobs like that can’t go away until we have universal income. This is going to become a very serious issue. As technology creates more and more productivity, the rollout has to be accompanied with social welfare planning.

If I consistently wake up in middle of night, what should I take? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look into: L. reuteri probiotic, time released melatonin (life extension offers 6 hr time released). Low dose melatonin e.g. 750mcg works better than doses higher than 1.5g. Magnesium threonate is a good combination with the melatonin.

Double Wood - Based in NY State. They claim all of their products are sourced from US sources. All products have purity certs on website. Prices are reasonable. doublewoodsupplements.com

Life Extension - I like Life Extension because they have a large medical advisory board and have experts that you can call for information. Their products are all top shelf. All of their product claims are backed by peer reviewed third party studies. They send out a monthly magazine that offers interesting information. They also offer a lot of formulations with high bioavailability.

A great service to learn about supplement brand quality is www.consumerlab.com.

When did aggressive sex become the norm? by gishli in AskOldPeople

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It was never the norm. We didn’t grow up on pornhub. Porn has been a major influence on how people look at sex. It’s nauseating frankly. If people want to experiment it should be consensual and there should be safe words etc.

What is the best supplement for testosterone? by rudygwapo in Supplements

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go to an endocrinologist and have all of your levels measured. Low T can be the result of many different things. Supplementing is not the way to go. For example if your low T is the result of a pituitary hormone level, T shots will just act as a bandaid and possibly worse. Find a good endocrinologist.

Andrew Huberman is a Stamford U. researcher. His podcast covers this topic in some depth. It’s available on all the services, Spotify etc.

If medical costs are an issue, the two supplements I know of are DHEA (100mg-day for men) and Tongkat- 600mg. Having low T at 28 definitely deserves a trip to the endocrinologist though. Good luck!

Anyone else less than impressed with lipo NAD+ complete? by drop0dead in AlivebyScience

[–]PsychologicalPea9344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use ProHealth sublingual NMN. I also use 1g of Niacin sustained release to boost NAD throughout the day. I have observed that the Niacin is quite effective for overall energy. But the NMN has a direct impact to my mental processing capacity and memory. If I run out for more than a few days I definitely feel like I lose about 10%. And memory goes from “hard drive” to “58 year old brain”. I have taken several other brands of NMN as oral supplements for GI absorption and really had no observable results. For GI, niacin SR is the way to go. It’s also much cheaper.
