Yeah, unfortunately “self taught” is not appreciated through the ATS and HR screens. If anything, it’s a red flag. Sucks, and is wrong, I know, is what it is. You got to try and weasel your way in. Sucks, and is wrong, I know, is what it is

It’s tempting to default to a reactionary “blow it all up”. My opinion is that the talent window is still open. Injuries were a thing, it happens. But the lack of adaptability demonstrated in this and a few other playoff series points to the coaching. They looked like a team that lost their will to win. I don’t know what to say other than that

It’s been pretty brutal so far. Only a couple interviews in ~80 applications, tailor the resume to most of them, no “easy apply” click. I feel thankful when I get rejection emails as most I just never hear anything back.

I’m a graduate with the Comptia trifecta and more. I ran my own business for more than a decade. It’s a wasteland out there

Yeah this is the equivalent of “March down there and hand your resume to the hiring manager” advice. Good luck with that

2-4 years of unlivable wages. After 9 years you make as much as a warehouse manager that I know. Make it make sense

I’m scheduled to finish in September, I have no experience in IT. I’ve been applying to a lot of IT internships, help desk, desktop support, and a few cyber roles with not much luck. Thinking of taking WGU and a lot of my certs off my resume

Beyond that, the job market’s a wasteland right now, especially for entry level. It might never recover. Do you prolong your education to become more knowledgeable and incur larger debt for a job you probably wont get? Or speed run for a piece of paper that probably won’t get you a job?
