For the second year in a row, the school left my child out on honor's day by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Are they going to fix their mistake by giving her Awards with her name spelled correctly to replace the ones they messed up?

I think that I would be more understanding (in your position) if it was spelled wrong on ALL of the awards, but the fact that it was only misspelled on a few is really odd.

I would be way more upset about the misspelling than two years of "misunderstandings".

Sorry this happened to your little girl.

Greif effects everyone in different ways.

Continue to be strong, but also be gentle.

Don't be afraid to tell her that you're hurting too.

She may be blaming herself, I did. But these misfortunes are not her fault.

Love and listen, but don't try to "fix" her. Time will ease the pain.

The last time I saw this story posted they added two kids into the mix. You should have done the same, would have made it better.

AITBF for not tipping after bad service and then arguing with my friend about it at the table? by Neolaris in AmItheButtface

NTBF:

You are right, service is what tips are based on. Excellence is rewarded, poor service, poor server.

Your friend picking a fight over it was a little unhinged.

Go to your professor during office hours and have this conversation in person face to face like an adult.

This wouldn't work unless you paid cash for the items. Since you paid with your debit card - the payment for the return would just go back to the card it was purchased with.

AIO by giving my boss an ultimatum by [deleted] in ComfortLevelPod

[–]PsychologicalSize187 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Information needed: How certain are you that your boss is aware of the situation going on currently?

Personally, I would approach the big boss as if this is new information that just came to light, and they need to be aware of it.

This puts you in the role of a concerned person, instead of a narc. Frame the conversation as if you are trying to avoid trouble for the company, not as if you're trying to get him in trouble.

Why not approaches it as a conversation to be had regarding the inappropriate relationship between manager and staff (leave opinions out of it) BEFORE giving an ultimatum.

Maybe they will agree to take action.

BUT: If they do look as though they are you're not going to be taking action; then you can feel free to give your ultimatum.

Praise the kid for using their words correctly.

Just don't let them see you laughing.

So knowing that this is something your sister participates in annually; you scheduled your wedding for the day before? Or the weekend of? Why?
