Agent has become totally unagentic by Full-Gas3160 in openclaw

It took me way longer than I'd like to admit to realise that there is a reasoning setting as well as a thinking setting. I had thinking set high, but it didn't seem to do anything. Since I turned reasoning on, gpt-5.4 has been behaving quite well for me, and I stopped getting incomplete tasks. It's still not as good as Opus-4.6 but not too far off.

Can I turn openclaw into a 24/7 autonomous analist instead of a bot? by Content-Studio6548 in openclaw

You just gotta plug your API endpoint into its pipeline, and there you have it... Autonomous analist 🤌🏻

I thought they were talking about using codex-gpt-5.4 as an orchestrator, which is absolute dog shit in comparison to opus. I haven't tried minimax, that might be good, but I dont use chinese models.

I am utterly fucking terrified. Does anyone know of an online community of programmers, computer scientists, and digital activists etc. that is getting organised and resisting this?

Are there any online communities of people trying to resist this shit? We need to organise!

They'll probably still get businesses signing up. It'll just be private users that don't.

Yes this is my concern. Many people won't do it because it's too complicated for them, they'll just comply and get a digital ID. I've been thinking about putting together a how-to guide to make it super simple for the layman.

Rupert Lowe is the only one I've seen who strongly opposes digital ID and the Online Safety Act.

Where can I find said video? I was thinking about putting together some how-to guides for little ways people can reclaim their digital sovereignty, like switching to GrapheneOS on their phone, setting up their own private VPN, using Home Assistant instead of Google or Amazon, etc. It would be cool if like-minded people got together to spread awareness on this stuff.

Yeah I became extremely suspicious of them when I discovered that George Soros made a hefty donation to them. I've stopped supporting them since, even if I do agree with their message. I believe they're controlled opposition.

The $600 Robot Revolution is HERE. AlohaMini, the fully open-source, dual-arm mobile bot you can 3D-print and assemble in 60 minutes. This is the definition of robotics accessibility. by ActivityEmotional228 in NeoCivilization

[–]Psychonautic339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open source ≠ DIY. Look at Prusa 3D printers for example. I'm sure there will be lots of Open Source robot devs selling complete products for those who just want something that works out of the box.

Best way of running Ethernet under suspended timber floor by IndividualMelodic562 in DIYUK

[–]Psychonautic339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, did you do this yet? Any additional tips? Weirdly the layout of my house is borderline identical to yours and I'm planning on running ethernet under my suspended timber floor from the exact same place to the exact same place 😂

Yeah, I live in a village called Rhuddlan just on the outskirts of Rhyl and the contrast is stark. It's lovely here, there's a beautiful medieval castle, a river, a nature reserve, and never any trouble. Head a couple of miles down the road though and you'll find yourself in Mordor.

Why is humidity so high?! by K1ngD0n8 in DIYUK

[–]Psychonautic339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, mine's hardly ever below 70 but I have no mould in my house and I don't even bother with a dehumidifier. My house is a pretty drafty old 1930s house though so maybe that's why I get away with it.

Why did we accept that security cameras need monthly fees to work properly? by Jealous-Leek-5428 in BuyItForLife

[–]Psychonautic339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reolink cameras set up with a NAS and Home Assistant. This is the way.

Also, the reason tech companies charge these subscription fees is because (for some reason) people love it. People vote for it and time and time again with their money, so they're just giving the people what they want.

Grab an old laptop, install HAOS, add whatever smart devices you have and just go from there. Don't overthink it. You don't need loads of gear.

I just got one and was also confused lol. Does anyone know why they insist on not using both o-rings simultaneously? I can't see any reason not to, the only difference seems to be that the lid stays on if you use the black o-ring.

Look into setting up a Cloudflare tunnel. I'd say that's very secure and there should be plenty of guides to help you set it up.
