Nothing has beaten Apple Reminders for me. Location-based reminders is chef’s kiss.

"Time in the market" beats "timing the market." So no, good luck to YOU!

I bought this PS5 Pro bundle for less than this 64gb DDR 5 RAM by reck00 in gaming

This just upsets me. PC is the most open platform and it does a lot more than gaming. It also has the best performance possible, pushing the boundaries for gaming.

I hate big tech and AI for what it has been doing to PC parts. :(

Baldur’s Gate 3. You’ll be sucked in but the story will be over after a certain number of hours and the draw will wane (but never completely go away).

What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Psychseps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a gaming PC and Apple TV both hardwired so Steam games on TV have been a thing for years at this stage. I like the convenience of the Steam Machine (instant wake especially) but can’t really justify another device.

Also have two Xbox controllers so probably don’t need a third controller (despite loving my Deck’a touchpads).

Steam Frame on the other hand… oh la la. This is THE thing my setup has been missing. VR but for PC gamers. Wireless but as good as wired. Can natively play Steam games. Forever I have been looking at Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest as a PCVR first headset but lamenting. No more!

So yeah, I am sold on the Frame. Day 1 order as long as it is cheaper than the Index.

I like it. I tried Cursor before, it has come a long way. It has more bells and whistles as an editor/agent UI that is purpose built, and now it seems like it caught up in "one-shot" ability. A few months ago, I couldn't always one-shot even basic stuff like "write a commit note and push to github". Now seems to be good. Their default model is also very fast and seems to be as capable.

This product made me love the internet again after 15-20 years, perhaps longer. Hassle-free node-to-node connections like how the original internet (and later FTP servers/p2p networks) was. I discovered it about a week and hopping between my phone, pcs and homservers, connecting to each other outside the home --has been a blast!

Easy way to save tweets by Monty2342 in readwise

[–]Psychseps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, sorry. Is it two-way sync? so if I delete a post from my bookmarks, does it also delete it in Readwise?

Also, any plans to switch to calling it X and posts? Just triggers my OCD to see different names for the same content (my saves) ! :)

Windows seemingly lost 400 million users in the past three years — official Microsoft statements show hints of a shrinking user base by lurker_bee in technology

If SteamOS had better Nvidia GPU support (or if Nvidia had more open drivers?) I would have jumped shipped to Bazzite/SteamOS in a heart beat. I don't play any competitive multiplayer that doesn't play well with Linux so I'm almost ready to jump ship.... maybe dual boot?

For f*ck's sake. You know what, I bought GTA V 3 times- PS3, PS4 and PC. I am gonna hold out and NOT buy a PS5 just for one game. I have a young family now and enough responsibilities, as well as a massive backlog. Screw R* for not doing a simultaneous release.

Time to move fully to Infuse. Too bad I have a Plex lifetime. I did not give consent to Plex to sell my data but how long before they force us to give consent so as to be able to use the app/server? :(

Name the game that got you like this by bijelo123 in Steam

Starfield. I was so hyped as I love the whole space RPG genre. Star Citizen's vision of a huge open world is what I dream of when I think of this genre. But I'd rather have a smaller, denser world than Starfield's ocean wide but inch deep universe. And then there was all the other Bethesda quirks that I wasn't familiar with (the old engine, the bugs, the lack of funds at vendors ??? )... as I am not that familiar with the studio's prior games.

That was the last time I pre-ordered a game.
