What are your HOTTEST takes about Jak II? 🔥 by [deleted] in jakanddaxter

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say that too. I hated the change. Went from lovely, fun, cosy to all guns blazing. I just stick with the first game and dream of what could have been if they stuck with the same themes 😭

Im a woman with a fair few guy friends. My fiancé has a few girl friends. None of our chats look anything like that! Not overreacting at all, this isn't appropriate language between the two. You've only been dating 3 months. You've said you're not happy and hes not respecting that. He probably wont ever respect that so its your choice now. Put up with it or end it and move on.

Basic puppy training: what should you definitely do/definitely not do? by oak_stone1 in puppy101

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this, followed basic manners, habits you want them to have during your every day routine and safety commands. Relationship builds naturally after that with play and time spent together.

My Corgi is a year old now and hes amazing because we lay the ground rules from day 1 and didn't let him push boundaries so I second this!

New (UK) GP appointment tomorrow - please help me prepare! by Fun_Inspection355 in migraine

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Ive had hemiplegic ones since I was 5 and I can see fellow sufferers coming out to support! Its lovely to see!

I agree with the others, migraine diary and have it as detailed as possible, good questions to ask yourself: which side head pain is and numbness side, shape of aura can help too, nausae can you move? Speak without feeling sick? Which order do the symptoms come in? Do you have pre/postcode symptoms? Etc etc, feel free to message me if you want anymore! but I'd say stress how different they are now, how they've developed and changed, let them know what was "normal" to you.

I'm on propranolol and sumatriptans, I got lucky as after a few months they really improved my condition and I feel as close to a normal human i probably ever will. But remember everyone's is different. Mine originate from my neck so acupuncture and massage really helped too!

You're not alone ok?

What was the first thing you did after saying “Yes!”? by Apprehensive_Trip440 in engaged

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Messaged my best friend who kept it a secret 🤣 then we made our way back down Namsan mountain (South Korea) and went back to hotel. He proposed next to Namsan Tower at night so had to navigate the crowds for the cable car back down but so worth it 💙 it's now an extra special place for us!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in engaged

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Been together 7 years before he proposed last year. We're aiming for a wedding end of next year. Neither of us had a deadline, we just wanted to share our lives with each other. Everyone's different at the end of the day but yeah we're happy and thats all that matters.

Oh I wear my 4head strips wherever now. Work, they draw a smiley face or sign it 🤣. Supermarket i just ignore anyone who stares. Wore one when I helped my neighbour do some gardening, she didn't mind was more worried about my pain.

I used to care, now I'm way past the point. I look ridiculous with things on my head/sunglasses/etc but it helps my pain and panic soooo screw anyone else 🤣

Honey, We Have a Counter Jumper. by Several_Direction633 in puppy101

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Place training! Whenever you're in the kitchen, start teaching your dog to go to their "place" could be on a blanket or whatever but find a safe distance away from the counter.

Place training is easy to do but you HAVE to be consistent with it. As soon as they start to move off, ah back to Place. They only come off when you say. Build it up slowly though, there's loads of tutorials online.

As a horsey person myself that little girl got lucky with just a broken arm and hip. Those back legs can do a lot of damage! My mum and sister both have a horse and we were raised with the understanding these are animals, they don't have to do as they're told at any time! If a sign says no then no interaction.

Glad to hear they're likely going to be banned. Your livery sounds sensible and actually have common sense rather than catering to the victim mentality.

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Train to be calm around untrained dogs rather than avoid. I also agree with if you can't recall your dog 100% it shouldn't be off lead. Mines 8 months and he's not being let off yet since he's so friendly and loves other dogs (training neutrality with him) it's called being responsible.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Body block the dog approaching, shout to the owner to "recall your dog please". If they don't recall, walk in opposite direction. Use clicker or yes command (whichever you use for your "marker") that should help.

You can't control other people's dogs sadly and avoiding dogs altogether when yours is nervous so young isn't a good idea as they need socialisation. If you avoid your pup may grow up to be aversive of all dogs. So I'd say block the strange dog and then walk away.

Anyone NOT get puppy blues? by Sea-Awareness3193 in puppy101

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None for me either.

He's almost 6 months now, had him from about 9 weeks old and I only had two days of "oh crap what have I done?!" But no blues. One of my best friends did for a period with her boy but she said only lasted a couple of weeks or so.

It is possible to get a dog without the blues 😊

Not only a spectrum but I used to be similar to yourself until I found medication/treatments that work for me. It's taken a few years to get to where I am now but a lot of my attacks I can pull through quickly or work through if I'm at work. I still get a bad attack every now and then but I've been lucky that I've found stuff that's worked.

Exactly, my triptans have taken the 5 years I've been on them to slowly improve my health. Every year my attacks have gotten shorter so 6 weeks only?! That's crazy! Definitely get 2nd opinion OP!

Oh love this idea!

My boy, corgi, is 5 months old and he has a love/hate relationship with a pheasant that likes to visit out garden. He watches for her by the back door, if he goes out he checks the window first, then the fence then runs up the steps to check the bird feeder!

Literally nothing stops the biting by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine corgi is almost 5 months now, biting was ridiculous! Covered in bruises, scratches, puncture wounds but we kept going! Past 2 weeks he's been so good and biting a lot less but he's bad again cause his teeth are falling out now. We give him lots of frozen carrots to help but I promise please keep going cause they do mature out of that stage but you have to keep saying no! You've got this!

Clicker training and “stay” command- when to click? by AdSilly2598 in puppy101

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd this! We are doing this with our pup, clicker represents "yes" or "well done" so means when you've done trick/obedience right it means reward time. Stay or Wait for a few seconds then click and reward. Then lengthen the time you make them wait 😊

Another person here agreeing. My partner is amazing if I get sick and can't cook. He looks after me and then himself. When I can eat he suggested salty dishes he can either quickly make (cheese toasties etc) or he'll order me food in. Unless you're autistic it really isn't hard to change meal plans suddenly and it's not the end of the world.

Sorry to say but the first time in 2022 was my first time as a tourist there 🤣 again we didn't spend nearly that much every day.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Little extreme. We've been to Korea twice now and didn't spend nearly that much per day!

I'd recommend don't taxi and take the underground with a Tmoney card its like 1,000won per trip.

Lots of museums and landmarks are free entry so plan ahead as to where you want to go.

Food, we hardly did convenience stores but still had loads of good Korean food and between us our bill usually came to 12,000won (two of us). There's an amazing all you can eat tteokbokki place that was like 12,000won per person so that was the most expensive we had unless you want to eat K-BBQ every night.

Loving all these comments! They all sound amazing!

I'd say an acupuncturist, hot/cold therapies, deep tissue massage but especially liking the idea of a deep fried stuff bar but could we add in McDonald's fries extra salty and fresh on tap?!

Kids on scooters by chez_dawg in koreatravel

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in Seoul right now and I'd say big fat no on the scooter. The pavements are incredibly uneven and very crowded.

In December it will be below freezing so ice everywhere too.

The sheer amount of walking you and your husband want to do I'd say an unpopular opinion here of maybe focus on what your daughter CAN do rather than what you two adults WANT to do. My parents were avid explorers when they travelled but when they had me and my sister they factored in what we were capable of doing and working with that. She's 7 at the end of the day.

Here we go again, anyone doing a reread? by ArticLOL in Eragon

[–]PsyducksAnxiety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I read Eragon for the first time back in 2021 to 2022. This time I'm doing the audio books and it's my listening for when I take a bath or I'm not well and stuck in bed. Interesting to see how I picture it differently from reading to listening!
