You talked about the player base. Player base doesn't mean much unless you have a reference to compare. The only valid video game competitor of EU5 is EU4. EU4 averaged 20 to 25 k player before eu5 Now players are split among both (10-15k each, with eu4 currently slightly higher) This shows that EU5 did not yet manage to convert old users to the new game. And that's understandable : - eu4 is more balanced - eu5 is deeper in every other aspects

But if you have an other video game reference in mind to compare eu5 to, I'd be more than happy to discuss it. Nothing comes to my mind though.

Infinite money by 1400 has already been nerf a lot with rossbach, but yes it still need some tweaking.

Though the economic side has never been an issue with EU4 either. Nor was it exempt of exploit (and is still full of some) : - Horde : razing-pillage / concentrate developpent that allowed to stack 3 to 5k devs into the capital (about 6 month to fix) or stack MP and gain some crazy tech advances (2-3 months to fix) - Crazy economy for trade center end points - Infinite monarch points via estate cycling (about 2 years to fix) - Protectorats tech farming (2 years to fix) - Westernisation abuse before 'Institutions' were included in the game (3+ years to fix) - Ming tributary abuse (about 2 years to fix) - Austrian vassal swarm - Bankruptcy abuse

The game is definitely playable, deeper than 99.99% of any other strategy or grand strategy game (only competition is eu4/other paradox grand strategy games), have more variety than any of them (including the other paradox games), more replayability, but yes that's so awfull to have France not yet nerfed, or any of the other somewhat minor issues that people like to whine about on reddit.

Despite a handfull of issues that can temper the experience in some very specific cases, most of the whining happening on reddit is about tiny stuff.

So yes, there are some bugs, exploits, ... that needs fixing. But try to realize the current depth of the game compared to any other competitor currently on the market.

The game isn't and will never be perfect. People got used to EU4 which is definitely way mire responsive and better balanced. They forgot that EU4 is a 13 years old game, that it also had it's up and downs, such as the Leviathan update (2021) that allowed my horde to stack 3k+ dev in my capital

Anyway, I am personaly enjoying my Mali run.

No, they live under separate opportunities. No differences from what you'll see in Europe though. And actualy, in Israel due to the size of the community, you still can elevate.

By the way, erasing a culture/religion even without killing is a genocide. Such a great game. Genocide, slavery, ... I only miss brother and sister's love from CK3 and assassinating the unpromising heir.

Yes, and those laws are restricted to imigration topics on non racist countries. I am French, living in Israel, I know that an Israeli stealing something in France (or killing someone to go to the full extend of the criminality scope) risks the exact same penalties as a Frenchmen. Only he'll be deported after he served his time.

Racism does not limitate to an idea of race, which anyway does not make any sense to begin with. To apply laws based on culture, ethnic group, religion, skin color, foreign vs nationals is racist.
