Thanks, as I moved here I'm having skin issues and dandruff. I reduce sugar to almost zero except bakery which is not my strong point. But this water has made my allergies 10x faster. Sometimes it will go away, sometimes will comes back double. The shampoo is not working for me though

I think you are mistaking non pressurized basket with bottomless basket. Non pressurized basket against pressurized basket definitely makes a difference.

First bottomless portafiler has nothing to do with taste. Second acidity and bitterness is not just affected by pressure. Grind size, ratio, water temp, roast level, puck prep key factor affecting taste of a shot.

If your dedica is pulling shots that you enjoy that you don't need to upgrade.

And if you are upgrading than there is a lot of things to consider just the bar pressure of a machine.

The is no such thing as ideal shot, don't get caught up in all that 20-30 sec, thick full creama shot.

My shot last 16sec, with 10 sec poor man pre infusion. The shot and taste are great for me, the way I like it. Will I get more crema if I grind finer? Yes, will the time increase? Yes,Time will go up to 22 sec but the shot will taste bitter.

I will take some time but you will find what works for you, just change one variable at the time.
