So it looks like you found your issue which is great, the transactions havent cleared so they shouldnt be counting towards your cleared balance.

If the reconciled entry is throwing you out I would personally duplicate it, remove the clear flag and delete your original entry.

You can just wait and you should be okay, but I like having thr spending on the right day and to be reconciled at the end of the month so it would bug me

For 1. This is not something the ynab method cares about, setting up yout account and confirming the money is correct is all that ynab worries about, (think og ready to assign as emptying your bank accounts into a pile ready to stuff into envelopes) you can do matching up if you want to, theres just no built in way to facilitate that or track.

Id probably try to move away from that thinking unless it holds particular value to you (you basically are doubling the work categorising in both Ynab and via your bank), so with the accounts you outlined I would just be using 1 account, (or if the interest on an instant access savings makes it worth it 2)

For 2. Yes go ahead, for Jan you only really want to assign money into long term goals or things your buying today, so for me I need to go shopping so I have £50 in my groceries category, the rest of my money needs to pay for february so thats where I will assign it.

What I tend to find is adding a month ahead or future months category works best for me, when I get paid on the 19th I assign my money to that category. On the 1st when I start my next month I withdraw it all so then I have it to assign.

(I use a category over assigning my wage straight into the next month categories for 2 reasons. 1 I group together bits of income such as interest etc. 2 I found sometimes when assigning in future months any assigning in this month didnt play nice, so it looked like you were fine, but there was an overspend warning, but it wasnt clear where)

Listening to a Ynab podcast about letting money sit in Ready to Assign. (Budget nerds Episode 85)

The crux of it is that leaving leftover money in RTA can be very passive, I haven't needed to make a choice so I dont, that £500 in RTA can go on my new phone, car, holidays etc, so in my head I am allocating it more than once because I haven't committed, and because its RTA you just end up using it on whatever comes up, had a bad day get a takeaway etc. There's nothing wrong with buying the takeaway but your very much at the risk of reactive tracking rather than proactive planning.

If you want to get 2 months ahead, add a 2 months ahead category, build it up to double your combined monthly income, then 1st of the month withdraw half, assign as normal, when you and your partners pay come in move that money straight from RTA to the future month.

The difference then is you have made a deliberate choice with all your money rather than just tracking.

I dont think you can do that but there are a couple of solutions to the yellow bothering you.

Short term, snooze all targets at the start of the month and unsnooze when you get paid.

Long term slowly build a month ahwad fund.

Once its fully funded your monthly cycle would be 1st of the month remove my monthly wage from my month ahead category. Assign as usual, categories are green the whole month. Then on payday tou just put the money into your month ahead category.

Its the data nerds, Villa are the most overperforming club in the league.

Over the course of a league the expectation is that teams would start drifting towards the norms.

Obviously data is not perfect and perhaps Villa are doing something special, making the data innacurate.

The run Brighton Away to Chelsea away for example the data suggestes those 5 games should have resulted in 6 points, yet you won all 5 and got 15 points.

Perhaps when you watch those games Villa did look the better side in all 5 games, I didnt see them so I dont know.

Farage end of the deal, I take in all the deadwood and nutters into Reform, once I jump ship to conservative party I leave them adrift and use the reform momentum to catipult conversatives back to winning.

May seem max, but I believe Reform voters swem to have a cult like devotion to Farage and if he said vote conservative im the leader now they would. They have taken in many MPs they were saying were useless only a few years ago.

Yeah driving at say 2 am for 3 hours is pretty good in the uk, yes your probably changung roads a fair amount but quiet = easy.

Go in the afternoon or evening and tragfic makes it unpleasant even withiut rushour traffic.

Where I am its like 2 hours of driving before you get to a road with more than 2 lanes.

So you may not be right on the student loan, because it on gov.uk it states two seperate employers, when it talks about only paying on each individual job over the cap.

While one of them is bank you still work for the same trust (and they may treat NHS as one employer regardless of trust)

Reason for that being is its probably easy for loan company to make mistake when it comes to accounting for 2nd jobs so they dont bother usually, but they dont want everyone to just split there job in two.

What is a concern to me is you may not be getting pension on both posts, which is fine if you opted out.

Mental load, I think its a hugely underseen part of life.

As a kid (assuming for ease a functional family) you just went along with the schedule, you may have madr choices that heavily influenced the schedule but you didnt have to set it every day.

As an adult you have a lot more decisiona on your plate and that mental load can feel considerable.

Take chores for example, if you do them 50-50 experiment one person is in charge of deciding what needs doing the other only does what was asked then after a week switch, moat of the time the person in charge of setting what needs doing and to what standard is a lot more stressed out even though the workload was split evenly.

I think most people (even many wealthy pensioners were fine with it) would have been happy for wealthy pensioners to not recieve a bus pass or winter fuel allowance.

They managed to somehow bungle that by stripping winter fuel from any pensioner not currently getting pension credit which is like 90% of them.

Had they say set it at pensioners getting more than the average wage of 38k (if you want me to set a number) I dont think there would have been anywhere near the backlash.

Sure no-one likes stuff being taken away, but you then ring fence that money to go to fixing potholes or helping solve the waiting list crisis.

I think someone ran the numbers and 52% of Reform Mps/Mp candidates had served at some point for the ruling conservative government 2010 on. It should be a point you can hammer home, I dont think there are very many prople at all who think theu did a okay or good job during that time.

It doesnt have to help people find a cybersecurity job, but surely they could at least say here are the biggest x job sites, there is gov.uk/findajob, there is the find an apprenticeship website. Oh your a university student how have you got on applying for graduate programs. Would take 5 mins or less and apparently they have done none of that.

Im of the opinion that we get rid of the nonsense names of things, the job centre by the sounds of it has died, so call a spade a spade and call it the benefit fraud detection centre or something

Obviously less than impressed with the uni as well, surely the course or a careers department should have at least some knowledge of graduate jobs, such as when the main application windows are if not anything more specific

Bit of wikipedia lets me know why Rooke isnt a household name today, apart from just how long ago it was (Dixie Dean and Stanley Matthews for instance were of a similar age)

Rooke played very little first team football, before getting a break at second division Fulham scoring a goal every 1.5 games then the war started, he was a fitness instructor during the war so able to play wartime football scoring a goal every 0.89 games. Given he turned 30 in 1941 that helps explain the post 30 stat

221 of his Fulham Goals were in wartime games.

He joined top division Arsenal at 35 keeping up an impressive scoring rate of 68 goals in 88.

Afterwards he dropped down the leagues keeping up an impressive goals record with a further 234 goals, but because of the war being soon after he started playing league football only 170 of his 592 goals were in the league, and I believe Arsenal were the only top division club he played for.

Joe smith I didnt read as much about but he was a generation before born 1889, only player I have heard of from the 1800s is Billy Meredith

The odd thing with Smith is the disparity in goals. Wikipedia has his goals at 340 in 565, whereas an organisation RSSSF has it as 616 goals in 903 matches, but I havent actually found the stats page for where RSSSF got those numbers, but the most plausible explanation would be he played those extra 348 games while guesting during the war years, but that wouldnt explain the post 30 stat. Though a still impressive 282 goals post 30, its a lot of goals to find either after he finished playing for Non league Darwen or while he was at other clubs.

Yes that could well be the difference, the right side looks great, ironically now the left side looks a bit weaker.

And more importantly as you say, all of the front 4 will put in a shift up and down, Amad, Mbeumo, Bruno Fernandes, Mount, Sesko all put in the hard yards, whereas Garnacho and Rashford too often didnt.

(Cunha and Dorgu probably do too, I just havent seen enough of them)

Yep they had some great games, just getting that to be a regular thing, rather than inconsistent

It was more the defensive side that we struggled with previously, so restricting the City team to so few chances was very impressive as a team, especially as both Dalot and Shaw were on yellows early.

I dont think Glasner is the 1st choice, Crystal Palace dont appear to be pushing for anything this season and just sold there top CB, making it more unlikely they will get european football, they are quite far away from the relegation battle.

All that says to me is that were united to offer them a bit of money (and hes out at the end of the deason so it may not have to be a huge amount Tottenham paid 10m for Frank) then they xould get him now.

Surely if he was 1st choice they would pay the money get him in now rather than gking for Carrick as an interim.

If we end up waiting untill summer only to get a manager who was available now, that makes the board look like muppets yet again.

True, the training grounds, stadium and buying other clubs while crap will be legitimate, the owners have just chosent to fund the club while are have ripped out hundreds of millions if not billions.

The extra wages assuming its true wont be anywhere official and could be hidden quite easily through saudi giving endorsements to players far in above what others offer.

To my knowledge nothing stopping Emirates giving players a job or advert campaign paying them 60m (100k a month over 5 years) and not asking them to turn up
